Please mention where you are from when you get in. We are still waiting for EU membership confirmation
same here : EU - US AppStore ... you won't even make it on the wait list with an EU AppStore account, you need US, UK, CH (Switzerland) or any other non-EU and non-China AppStore account to jump on it
If you’re able to join the list you’re most likely good. Switching back to EU account gives a “Siri not available on this device” message when you try to use it.I have a EU AppStore account but I am not physically in the EU and my iPhone is also not from the EU. I am on the waiting list. Is that just a bug and it will in fact never open up?
For those that have a US AppStore account and got off the waiting list: What happens when you switch back to an EU account?
But isn’t the entire system messy then? I am currently logged into my EU AppStore account and on the waitlist. If I (ever) get off it, I can use the new Siri. Meanwhile someone else already got access to it and blocks his new Siri just by logging in to an EU account? If you’re able to join the list you’re most likely good. I have a EU Apple ID, also EU App Store account, and i’m on the waitlist. But I live in Russia. To everyone here complaining they haven’t been approved yet:
consider yourself lucky you’re on the waitlist at all unlike people with an EU Apple ID 🙃
Really, we’re doing you a favor by not plugging it up even more
It comes back when logging in to the US account again. Yes it is messy, but that’s the problem of the user trying to access a feature only available outside their region. But isn’t the entire system messy then? If you plan on using the new Siri, then you should care about indexingJoined the waitlist at about 14:00 Pacific on Monday. I'm unluckily still waiting. (Don't care too much about indexing.
🙂)
I just know it's not related to access, and I know it'll take days initially and continuously update thereafter. So I do care, I just not obsessing on it.If you plan on using the new Siri, then you should care about indexing
FWIW my 17 Pro did not show any indexing message and I got the new Siri after about 48h. Could of course be that it was indexing but the notification was not showing, though I did not notice any battery drain or excess heat.I just know it's not related to access, and I know it'll take days initially and continuously update thereafter. same, I finally made it out the wait list =>For everyone in Germany or EU. In since a few minutes!
Settings:
- German main apple account!!!
- US apple account in the store!!!
- system language US
- Siri language US

I’m not sure if every setting is needed, but I Think the most important is to lock in with and US Apple ID in the Store.
Nice, means the main region setting isn’t important! 👍same, I finally made it out the wait list =>

- us account In store
- system language US
