Looks like OTA is starting to roll out today although it may be weeks before we all see 5.0.

OK, install took forever but I have it updated. After installing 5.0 it seems like there are more invisible updates in the background going on for a bit, but after that, everything is buttery smooth.

What's better, the Nexus 5 or Moto X 2014? Is the Nexus 5 still viable if I have used the S5, HTC One M8, and LG G3 recently? I would like to get a new phone and I was thinking the Note 4, iPhone 6, or Nexus 6 as the expensive phones that interest me the most.
The Nexus 5 is still a very good phone the main weakness being the battery life which hopefully lollypop will help resolve a little.
That's an issue for me. My S5 had issues with battery life. I am kinda looking for something better than that though.
Do you still have issues with power saving mode turned on?
We all do not have same usage : some note 4 users manage to get 7 hours of on screen time with 2 days of battery life whereas i managed to get resp. 4 and 11 hours...
Maybe a bad battery that you could exchange ? or go for samsung extra battery kit?
The only good thing about the battery is the speed it charges at. I can get a fully charged phone in about 30 minutes.
Yeah, I would say I got 3 hrs of screen time and my phone would drop to about 25-35% battery even with power saving on.
Is there a way to force OTA updates? I seem to remember doing it once.

You can sideload. Otherwise the method that folks use apparently is bad (clear Google Play Services data).
It's been discontinued and seriously doubt Google will restock it. If you want a new N5, Expansys-USA is selling it for $349 White 32GB.
It isn't discontinued, if they are out of stock right now it's probably because they're getting them updated to Android 5 (and they're probably putting all their efforts into saving the N6 release). If they were going to just discontinue they wouldn't have made a major update to their web page for the 5 including new renderings with the OS update.

I'd argue that's more up to LG at this point, given that they manufacture the hardware. I don't think they'll update the Nexus 5 (atleast not an LG version anyway, even though I'd love to see it happen
I'm in the same boat myself, even after Lollipop. I'm thinking about rooting and flashing either the Franco Kernel or Faux Kernel and seeing if those'll improve my battery life... I'm hoping.
Has anyone actually gotten an OTA Lollipop update on a Nexus 5? I really don't feel like flashing it myself....

I got mine today. Google does the updated in batches so you wait until your group is added to the list.
