And now its removed! Come on guys, Google won the Troll of the Year Award with the Nexus 5. No point of having a huge marketing budget when you can post control leaks like that. But, who knows...maybe they were testing the waters to see if people are interested in an 8" tablet...guess in due time, we'll all know the truth.

But the thing is, it was exactly the same image. What she was holding was a Nexus 7, so I'm not sure what they expected people to think. Yes, of course, a bigger screen in a device that was otherwise literally the exact same size would be nice, and you don't need to "leak" something to know that (if battery life didn't suffer), but people want an 8" due to wanting a wider aspect ratio, which that didn't show.

I think it was just a screw-up meant to show the slightly new L&F that became too much of an issue once noticed. The new image, at exactly the same place, shows the original photo without the screen enlargement.

Exactly. Now I wish I'd saved the original so I could make a GIF of the two. Exactly the same image, minus the 'shopping.

I never realized how massive the bezel was until I saw that GIF

The top/bottom bezels are bigger for a reason. They act as "handles" in landscape mode and prevent your hands from covering the top/bottom speakers (or the on screen buttons). I love the big bezels because I play a lot of games on my N7, and games usually rotate to landscape. Plus, have you seen the side bezels on the original N7? 2013 N7 is definitely an improvement.

The Nexus 7 looks sharp and I love how it's blacked out, very sleek looking. Sure, it kind of has that "e-book" reader look to it. But seriously, this device is so good that complaining about the bezels or any part of it's appearance is honestly pointless. This thing is a little beast and trumps more expensive tablets.

Would I love an 8" Nexus? Of course. Do I hate my 7" Nexus, absolutely not. How can you hate on this tablet? $229 pricetag, come on.

I'm not holding my breath. Android tablet makers love them some gimpy widescreen with ultramassive bezels and stupid onscreen buttons.

I don't mind the onscreen buttons so much on tablets.. but it's kind of annoying on phones since it takes up like 15% of the screen space.

They've made it a little less cumbersome with 4.4 KitKat though.
