Thought I would see if anyone knows if anything in relation to NHL gamecenter has been submitted to the app store or even has a release date. MLB on the go was pretty sweet and since gamecenter is similar to MLB.tv, I would think they have something in the works.

They are still working on it, when I contacted the mobile division of the NHL I was given the reply of:

"Your request about has been received on 10/31/2009 10:16 PM.

There is no status update, it is still in development. Once the product is ready for beta testing or launch, it will be announced.

NHL Web Support"

So at least we know its not dead and they are indeed working on it still.

I'd also love to see NHL 10, or any hockey game for that matter on the phone

agreed and also would be nice if ESPN's stupid scorecenter app actually had NHL hockey instead of just WOMENS NCAA HOCKEY, are you kidding me?

also, GO ISLES!

You're kidding, right? My first page on the ESPN app is NHL scores.

Just get ScoreMobile. It's free (or 1$ can't remember) And you have, like every sports, even PGA. Works perfect, and score updates are pretty fast. Also you can access standings, news, stats, etc.

No need to wait for a boring NHL gamecenter app

None of those apps will have highlights though.

NHL's iPhone app looks like it will, which is awesome. If it's modeled after the MLB At Bat app, they will have a winner on their hands.

I'd love to be able to watch my Devils when out. I listen to them on AOL Radio though, but to be able to watch would be fantastic.

Does anyone know of a really good RSS feed I can use that just gives me the scores for each NHL game, who scored, a few stats and a brief game summary all within the feed?

Other than that sounds like I should check out the ESPN or Scorecard app?

Much appreciated

I like Sportacular. It is one of my favorites. I use it to follow my beloved Minnesota Wild. (no jokes, please) Anyway, you can set it up so that it alerts you every time a goal is scored in the game.

Pretty sweet when you're stuck in a birthing class all night.

So how would you know that feature even worked?

(sorry...I had to... :))

No, I'm not. When I go to add sport and navigate to hockey, there is no NHL, only NCAA womens hockey.

That's strange.

No Men's NCAA Hockey either?

I'm actually not surprised. At least for me, the app was useless as every time I opened it I got the black screen of death.

While an updated fixed that a few months ago, I'm sticking with Sportacular - because of the alerts/notifications.

Wasn't Scorecenter supposed to get "push" at somepoint? They demoed it back in June/July, for goodness sakes. Now, I know that a demo doesn't mean full production is around the corner - but I haven't heard ANYTHING about it in a long, long time.

Uninstalling and reinstalling fixed the problem. Thank god I finally have the NHL on here.

Complete side note, really Islanders? Let up a goal 8 seconds into the game? Go up 3-1? Go down 4-3? Score with 2 minutes left? Lose in a 22 player shootout?

aaaaaahhhhhhhh ...... who is this Bruins you speak of?? aren't they an OHL team? :D
well i guess at least we have the iPhone in common!!

FTW

da' WINGS 9-1 beatdown of CBJ

Well Mr Short Term Memory :D it's the same Bruins that lost to the Red Wings 2 -0 the other night.

CBJ has usually taken it to the Wings. I love watching the wings play. the most frustrating part of watching the wings is how patient they are.
