True, but we just can't finish games. I look at it like we lost a point with an OT loss than grabbing the point when we have 2 goal leads.
so we keep it on topic and don't get in trouble with the mods.... 
i'll mention the Sportacular app for a great sports push notifications..... now back to what i wanted to say......
DAMN, pretty sweet how there's so much passion for hockey on the MR site....
who would a thought!! lets hope the NHL app comes out soon.....

haha agreed! I use Sportacular for the push notifications. I do keep ESPN on my main page however as it is quicker and a little more polished. I'd love to see Sportacular, clean up the UI a little bit and make it a bit faster to load. I can't wait for this NHL app tho for video and everything else.so we keep it on topic and don't get in trouble with the mods....

I know, that really sucked. Tavares looks like he's gonna be awesome though. I don't know why when Tambellini scores high glove side on the shootout, and made it look easy, nobody else shot high glove side. Tavares' shot wasn't even close ! Oh well, i expected them to stink this year, so they are playing above expectations.
On a side note, the guy who runs a competing iPhone website with messageboard (everythingicafe.com) is a HUGE Islander fan who used to post over at the Islanders message board at Hockeysfuture. That's how I found out about his messageboard.
On another side note, why doesn't EA or somebody come up with a game like NHL 10 for th iPhone ? I think whoever sells a REAL hockey game (not airhockey or Mario Hockey ripoffs), will make a fortune. Maybe I'll have to do it.
Hockey Night in Canada - cbc - just released their app. Pretty sweet little app. Free.
Tavares has great puck instincts which is odd for such a young player, but he can't skate for crap. And I totally agree with the shootout comment, I mean even Trent Hunter's goal in regulation was high glove side for christ's sake.
too bad Schemp didnt get to show off his youtube skills, back on topic though, has there ever been even a guestimate on when it'll be out

I'm not talking about something like sportacular. I'm referring to something like MLB at bat, where I can log in with my NHL.com username and gamecenter subscription to watch games on the phone. So I don't have to be at the computer to watch my Canucks play.

Beta Testing for the last few weeks.
I've been beta testing this app for the last few weeks. its like the MLB App. My testing period expires this month, I bet they release it right before the playoffs. I believe it's out as a Verizon app already, might have seen a commercial last night. Most likely be on the nest Verizon iPhone! Originally I was told it would have live audio but it didn't. Play by play is cool and the video of shots on goal, hits and goals come up right as NHL.com gets them.

Seemed pretty "meh" to me.
From what I've read, this app is different in North America then the rest of the world.
The non-North America version had an in-app purchase to allow access to video.

Why they didn't add this to the North American version is BEYOND me.
I think that Verizon has exclusive rights to a lot of that stuff on mobile devices. Much in the same way that Sprint has a contract with the NFL.
I have the CBC app, but I was really hoping for a "MLB At Bat" type app from the NHL.
I wonder how long the NHL has a deal with Verizon.
Try the Versus app, it's the closest we can get to Verizon's stuff I believe.
