Apple store employee told me last month that they would not be selling the bands separately (at least initially). And somewhere in another thread about this is a link to an Apple web page that states they will not sell the band separately.
Perhaps i can understand Apple not selling the band separately at first, but later down the track its feasible that they might sell with either no Nike branding on the aftermarket band, or with the Nike branding and extra cost for the honour. Maybe an extra $10 - $15 which Nike receive from Apple.

Eh, what the heck, went ahead and put in an order for black/green. Shows estimated delivery: Sat, Oct. 29–Sun, Nov. 13.

I wear my SG w/ the black band it came with most of the time. I also have a knockoff bright green band that I like but sometimes it's a bit too flashy. This seems like a good compromise between the two.

Ordered the black/grey for my Space Grey. Looking forward to it! Hopefully it slides right in. I hate the ones that you have to wiggle in and out.

I am sure these should show up in Hong Kong soon enough. I am just waiting for better colors for my Silver Stainless Steel watch.

They could really make a ton of money on these if they offer some unique color combos. Hopefully they'll do that at some point. I was thinking red and white or red and black might look cool.

Got an email today saying mine shipped. Still says arriving between 10/29 and 11/14. Can't expect too much when you're getting free shipping from China I guess.

I think with all of the extra holes there is only one size for the Nike bands. Not for sure though.

Incorrect. The length of the band dictates the size, not the holes. The Nike watch will ship with both sizes like the regular sport version.

A bit weird considering they sell the exclusive Hermés bands sepratly now... How exclusive should a sports band from Nike be? Just let us order it already

I stand corrected :)

Looks like each of these bands will have more options to use for band placement though since all of the center holes seem to be able to be used for the pin.

Looking forward to seeing real-world pics. They state "Made from the same durable, lightweight Silicone as the original Sport Band" which is bizarre as the Apple Sport Bands aren't silicone. How different is silicone to the elastomer of the OEM stuff?

Some "actual" photos from Chinese site, I think they are the same as on eBay

And that folks is what happened to all those unused iPhone 5c Apple silicone cases....
