Wow I'm actually impressed with the Nike knockoff I got in the link I listed above from the seller OULUOQI.

It feels slightly better than the Moko bands (I have 3 of them) but not as good as the real Apple fluoroelastomer. The big thing I noticed was these bands don't stick out on the sides where they slide into the watch like other silicone knockoffs. For the over half price I paid while it was on sale, well worth it. Also, the center holes where you snap the band together are tighter than the OEM strap. Really need to pull hard to take the watch off. Pretty good for active people looking to make sure the watch doesn't just fall off.

I just received the grey/white version from Fantek and honestly I would not have bought it had I seen it in person. The material is not even close to the original Nike+ bands (I have the black/grey Nike band that came with my watch so I am able to compare) it is much more plastic feeling and also the grey/white colour is very light grey (like cloud grey) not at all like the real darker grey in the Nike+ band.

The fit is good and it looks ok on the watch when I wear it but it clearly isn't the same look or feel of the real bands. If I had realized the grey would be so light I never would have ordered. It practically an antique white and bright white.

Update: FanTEK actually contacted me after I wrote my Amazon review and they say that they have updated the bands and they are now better quality and better colour. They sent me an Unshopped photo of the grey/white band and it looks way better. They are sending me the replacement band free of charge so I will update this when I actually can compare the new and improved band.

Stay tuned!

I've attach the update pics they sent me to see here as well

I bought 4 bands from a seller on eBay, and all are garbage. There is colour bleed, and the small half of the band has bigger 'rings' where the holes are, than the longer half.

I've asked for a refund, we'll see how that goes.

That does look good. I would be interested to see how it compares to the genuine bands

Bought one of these from Amazon UK.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01MAY8NU6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Surprisingly good quality for the money. Only slight criticism is that the length equates to Apple's M/L sizing, so probably a little long for a slender wrist.

Looks like a good one with decent reviews.....expensive though (well, at least with the exchange it is!)

The fanTEK replacement shipped yesterday so I will hope it makes it to me sometime next week.

I'd be interested in your fanTEK review as they have a similar model on the UK site, but obviously not the updated version. I'd also be interested to know if they offer both sizes, S/M and M/L.

Did you get it yet?

I purchased this one. Though the fit isn't "perfect", close though, it is very comfortable.

The replacement bands from FanTEK actually arrived yesterday afternoon. They look waaaaay better than the first ones I got...the look exactly like the ones in the photos I posted above. I wore it to shovel out the driveway and I am happy with it from my initial reaction. But......

I notice on their amazon.ca product page that other people are reporting the grey (top) colour is wearing off very easily. I want to wear it for awhile before I can say that it is worth spending $20 on it compared to the cheaper bands. Definitely looks great but if it can't hold up then it will still be useless.

I only wear the NIKE+ bands to the gym/running/swimming so I'm not sure that it will get the same wear on it that a person who wears it all day with sleeves rubbing against it and rubbing it on laptop/desks etc would get. Hopefully it'll last me a bit longer because of how I use it.

I also have a white OEM apple sport band, black/grey OEM Nike sport band, dark blue Moko replacement sport band, red Moko replacement sport band and a Stone Moko replacement sport band so I definitely rotate these things around! It should hold up for me fairly well!

(I think I need to stop buying bands)

You'll have to update us on how yours holds up over time a bit....because the reviews on that one you bought are very good.

They ( Fantek ) actually just emailed me and told me about an issue with the first bands they sent out and are going to send me a replacement. Thats pretty cool!

It's great they send out replacements when the other ones weren't great.

I noticed you didn't like the smaller sizing on the one you got.... the replacement band I received yesterday is still on the smaller size. Works for me as I don't have large wrists but its slightly undersized compared to the original NIKE bands

I threw my eBay knock-off away. It smelled like chemicals. I washed it multiple times, and let it sit for a week. Still smelled awful.

The more of these knock offs I get (both Nike and regular) the more I appreciate the OEM Apple bands. The quality is just so much better.

I know the prices are the difference maker but in these cases I am coming to realize that quality is definitely more important than quantity.

Anyone had a Black/Grey band for a while that is still holding up? (Color not wearing off) I'd like to snag one, but I'm not sure which one on amazon yet.

I agree. I'm sooo tired of the lint magnets that the 3rd party silicone bands become. The one 3rd party band that has been excellent for me is the Milanese loop.

yep, I'm in the process of returning two MOKO brand bands. One black leather loop with a defective lug (wouldn't even connect to the watch) and one Dark Blue Sport band (collects lint within 10mins was unusable)

Its not worth the hassle for something that I won't even want to use anyways.

I do have a nice dark brown leather band that I got off Etsy ... that seems to have been worth the money so far.

so after ordering it on Nov 28th....

its an ok knockoff. i wanted it to be thicker. and the S/M is still quite large on my wirsts. its definitely not the oem apple band, which is stiffer. colors don't bleed so thats good.

just sucked i got it today but it will be used a gym time band only. does feel nice and light on the wrists.

As an FYI, if you buy from OULUOQI on amazon, they will give you a free regular sport band with a promo code or 50% off a Nike band with promo code in return for a positive review.

I gave my honest review, which indeed was positive, and they sent me codes for both. Their bands are on par with if not better than the Moko bands.

My black and volt one is holding up great. I submitted a review either in this thread or another one with pics. Also, I snagged mine for like $9 when it was on sale with promo code which I found on the 9to5toys website. I've used it daily since I got it with zero issues. Gonna grab the black and grey and grey and volt as well.

After my purchase, I left a positive review on Amazon. Within a week the seller sent me an email asking how the purchase was going and reminded me to review it and if I was satisfied, they would like to offer me a free gift (regular sport band which retails for $7.50) or 50% off another Nike. I chose the 50 off but still have the freebie code they gave me earlier lol. It feels wrong to use both.

problem with all these NIKE+ knock offs is that they are Yellow and Black (or some Green and Black) but they are not actually VOLT and black.

I was at the Apple store today and the look of the legit VOLT and black colouring is much nicer than the yellow in the knock offs.

I really hope Apple opens up the option to purchase these official bands separately sooner than later.
