From the new reports today saying the launch event won't even happen until late Oct, that puts the lower end iPhone releases in mid Nov and the Pro models not until Dec. WTF is wrong with Apple? Why can Samsung and every other manufacturer get their phones out right on schedule? Im about to trade in my 11 Pro Max for a Note 20 Ultra this week. Apple really screwed this one up.

>lied

Source?

Their statement in July just said that the phones would be delayed a few weeks. It didn’t say it was further delayed or anything about lying. Eve. If they had previously given an indication things do change. That isn’t a lie. Release schedules get re assessed all the time.

1) They don’t owe you anything. 2) Apple often sells multifold more of these devices during their launch quarter than their competitors do when it comes to the high end flagships, so expect a delay in sales for them to manufacture, 3) your current phone will be just over one year old when the Pros ship and you’ll survive without much difficulty. And if you‘re readily able to jump ship, have at it, I don’t think they’d mind or care.

Apple hasn't said anything since July when they confirmed they basically lied and admitted it would be delayed longer than "a few weeks".
Well, I will say this. I imagine mass producing as many phones as they’ll need to make can’t be easy especially with the pandemic making it difficult so I’m just glad we are getting anything this year. I wish we were getting it sooner but I’ll be optimistic and see what happens.

Samsung can get their products out on time because nobody wants to buy them. J/K (kinda)

So you keep saying multiple times on multiple threads.

I hope you enjoy your Note 20. By all accounts it’s a great piece of kit. But please stop with the same old crap you’re peddling in these threads.

The most pathetic thread I have read in years.
It is beyond amazing that someone cannot wait a couple of weeks for something they don’t need, and feel so self entitled that they believe they have been lied to, when no one promised them anything.

Probably better off, you won't be doing anything different with a new iPhone 12 than you can already do with your 11 pro max.

Instead of embracing rumor as fact, try looking to Apple for facts.

The only screw up is your misguided rant.

Get a grip OP for Christs sake

Im sure you’ll manage a couple extra months dealing with your first world problem.

I don’t think Apple lied at all, back when they said about the original dslay, they probably made a bad judgement on the estimation of it being a few weeks late. At the end of the day, nobody knew how long the pandemic was going to last with regional lockdowns around the world.

As for Samsung they are made in Korea, a country where they can get all kinds of health features put into wearables and phones, yet a few years down the line are not given government approval for use in other countries, they really are a law upon themselves. I’m not even Anti Samsung, hell I have been a avid Samsung user for years, even the 55” 4KTV I bought earlier this year is Samsung.

My Note 9 is exactly 2 years old and being a self confessed gadget whore, I am eager for this years iPhone and the upcoming Watch 6. In fact this will be the first year in over a decade, where I have had the same phone for beyond the 2 year mark.

A few years back, I rushed out and got the infamous Note 7 which was of course recalled for it’s dangerous battery fault. I would much rather Apple not rush out this release, Make sure all testing us done and that it is suitable for a worldwide release. If they rush it out to please the whiners, then it could be risky, good things come to those who wait, or so they say.

Everybody else has some amazing and informative replies towards this meaningless rant.

All I want to say is “deal with it”. As a customer, you have NO RIGHTS to whine about release schedule and how Apple manages product shipping. Even if it is delayed until December 2020, what will happen? Nothing.

Honestly, it’s no surprise if it’s true. It’s one of many reasons why I chose to get the 11 Pro Max. It’s really not that big of a deal, though ... we ARE still going through a pandemic. They are not REQUIRED to get anything out if it’s not ready on their end. You and no one else knows what goes on behind the scenes. Also, it makes no sense to compare companies. Each has their own protocols when it comes to releasing a product. It will be released. Given how hectic 2020 has been, a phone should be the least of your worries.

All models will be released by October and November.

No they won't. They aren't even having the stupid event until late Oct which means the low end phones won't even be out until mid Nov. That pushes the Pro models into Dec.

They lied? How so? You often like to use emotive terms?

December isn't "a few weeks" from Sept
