Given how 2020 has been so far, I'm amazed that anything is being announced or released this year.

Why? Everyone else can get their phones out on time. Sony and Microsoft are releasing two huge gaming consoles in a few months too. But Apple cant get their 5G crap together to launch iPhones on time? Pathetic.

Everybody else has some amazing and informative replies towards this meaningless rant.

All I want to say is “deal with it”. As a customer, you have NO RIGHTS to whine about release schedule and how Apple manages product shipping. Even if it is delayed until December 2020, what will happen? Nothing.

As a customers who spends hard earned money on all sorts of Apple products, I have EVERY RIGHT to call them out for screwing this up and dropping the ball like a bunch of amateurs. Everything about the 12 has been screwed up so far and dont even get me started on the other products they cant seem to get out either. They have become a joke.

They have become a joke.
My portfolio says otherwise.

I'm sorry you're supremely disappointed with Apple. Totally sucks having to wait a few more weeks to a month or so to get the latest and greatest. I hope the Note 20 works out better for you, you would definitely be much happier. At least every smartphone Samsung has ever put out has been on time and perfect and problem-free and never a joke, unlike Apple for sure.

A 4th quarter launch, no matter if it’s late November or not, is crucial. Apple relies heavily on ‘Net-sales’ at the end off the 4th fiscal to finish strong. It’s the busiest time of the year for them in terms of not just product launches, but pushing out the hardware to Black Friday and holidays. Now, the economy isn’t stable right now in some areas and in other areas is flourishing. Nonetheless, I don’t think the general consumer is clamoring to upgrade to a $1000 ‘“Pro” smart phone if they don’t have the money to do so, however; there are other products that I think will do really well with the Apple Watch Series 6, the AirPods, ect.

Anyways, the only ones that will lose their mind are on sites like this if Apple doesn’t launch ‘On their time frame’, but the rest the world will continue to turn and not blink an eye regardless one way or the other.

I’m sorry to break your dream but Apple cares NOTHING about how customer sees their products. As a company who is valued at $2T and surge the stock price despite worldwide recession due to pandemic, they are in the “too big to fail” region.

To put this in another perspective, for Apple to even consider changing their strategies or taking feedbacks remotely seriously, at least 50% of customer base or maybe 30% of shareholders are required to voice their disappointment loudly, or those same-level big players like Microsoft or Amazon. Apple does not need your money. Feel free to keep feeling disappointed by such a trivial detail that does not impact customers in any way.

From the new reports today saying the launch event won't even happen until late Oct, that puts the lower end iPhone releases in mid Nov and the Pro models not until Dec. WTF is wrong with Apple? Why can Samsung and every other manufacturer get their phones out right on schedule? Im about to trade in my 11 Pro Max for a Note 20 Ultra this week. Apple really screwed this one up.

I can't think of any reason why Apple would be uncertain about the timing of their new phones. It's not as though there is any worldwide problem that would cause trouble for them, is there?

I got my iPhone 8 replacement when they didn't conceive of ever building another phone with a Home Button.

Apple was still manufacturing iPhone 6s Plus back in like 2018 or so, despite iPhone XS series release and switching out of iPhone with a home button. And now we have iPhone SE 2nd edition still with home button.

I think someone else having an objective to design a budget iPhone chooses home button design because the manufacturing cost is so low in 2020, plus some other factors that idk.

Oh, the entitlement.

I would think it’s more about how fast they can manufacture them
Don’t think Apple Apple has a firm date yet
They will have the same balance between waiting too long and people jumping on a new device from another manufacturer and too soon and if you don't get to submit within 30s, you are backordered 3 months already

I don’t see iPhone users switching to a different platform, not for the sake of an iPhone that might be potentially delayed. Too many consumers are tied into Apples ecosystem with other products and services just to say “Well, they didn’t release it on time, I better go to android.”

You know what I mean? Realistically, the economy is still in a very tight position depending on what type of field you’re in, and I don’t think smart phones have any priority whatsoever in 2020 for a ‘spending limit‘, especially when if the current users smart phone isn’t broken or struggling, there’s absolutely no need to upgrade.

No one seems to be taking the IUP customers into consideration. We are already paying a certain amount per month which most likely won't change much if it all than what we are already paying. So price is not very relevant.

This isn't 2009 any longer, that's an old and silly argument. Plenty of companies competing in every space Apple is in. I have ZERO problem switching to Android

with zero word from Apple on any events this month and everyone saying not to expect a launch event until next month at the earliest
I guess they don't need a long lead time for announcements, as there is no venue needed to hire, nor invites to be sent out. What I see on the plus side is, macOS and iOS will have longer in beta, hopefully enabling a very solid, stable .0 release.

Ok? Are we supposed to care about your decision to do that or something? (Rhetorical)

It’s obvious What you’re missing/don’t understand in this thread, this isn’t about ‘android’ Or ”I’m going to ‘stomp around and switch to android because Apple didn’t do something on my timeline” type mentality. Consumers generally don’t have that type of mindset that they’re going to abandon Apple because something doesn’t launch on time. The iPhone is a ‘central hub’ to be tethered to products like the HomePod, Apple Watch, AirPods, which I’m inclined to believe those popular products alone Doesn’t push the mindset, “Well, the iPhone didn’t launch on time, I guess I’m going to Android now.”

Keep in mind, with Apple, it’s not necessarily about just about the products, they sell you an experience, and that’s something that can’t be replaced with android.

Pathetic? Screwing this up? Dropping the ball?

lol, bud, go try an android. You sound like you really want one. I would love to be a fly on the wall two weeks into your Android experience.

How dare Apple not release a phone on the day I WANT IT! IT MUST BE EXACTLY 12 MONTHS TO THE DAY OR I'M SWITCHING TO ANDROID!

MY timeline? No, its Apple's timeline. The new iPhones come out like clockwork every Sept for what? 13 years now? With the one exception being the iPhone X. They took a lot of **** over screwing up that launch and they are for this too. If you remember, that was their worst selling phone too because many people did buy something else. History is about to repeat.
