Apple sees the future (right or wrong) as cloud based with a portal of some kind into the cloud.
Final cut and Logic will become a web app GUI that Apple then run at lightening speed for you on their server farm, stored on a public drive so that your customers can simply log in and view it.

Yeah and you are Steve right? iToys are just TOYS! Even iPad with KB ain't enough as dual 24"s barely do it for me. Having 4 browser windows and one Pages window doesn't work with iPad.
Online media is still years away. Why? Because so many people are stuck with bad connection and caps. Sure when we get 10Gbit down and 5Gbit up it's possible but that's taking years plus that's WiFi, how about 7G?
Final Cut is used by Hollywood professionals and I doubt they want to see the rendering taking 5 weeks with iPad. Apple makes huge money from Macs and OS X.
That might be the future but not in this decade. So many things have to be developed before that might work in theory. Now uploading a film takes several hours. I don't even want to start how long it takes to backup several TBs of data...
