Interesting update. I have not been getting my weekly goal suggestion since last updated here. So I guess I have to remove my sleep schedule from iPhone to get the weekly goal suggestion on Monday morning.

That’s right. Personally I think the sleep tracking is quite lacking (and that rhymes). I found I got the summary notification within minutes of disabling the sleep schedule

I stopped sleep schedule last week as the previous poster suggested and did not get the weekly goal update on Monday.

Did you go into the health app on your iPhone, the sleep section in the health app and toggle sleep schedule to off so it looks like it does in this screen shot? Once I did that it fixed it for me. I guess make sure it’s disabled on your watch too and set to not use the watch to track sleep in the watch app. I disabled the tracking with the watch some time ago as I don’t wear it

I have lost my Weekly Summary again... I am not getting it pushed to me on Monday mornings so I don't get the suggested goal update. No sleep schedule in place. Anyone else? Been like this since the 7.4.1 update. Not running any betas on watch or phone.

Ever since I turned off the sleep tracking and went back to using the regular alarm in the clock app to wake up I’ve had my Monday notification back. Got it this morning.

Huh. I have Apple’s sleep stuff off, and use my iPhone for the alarm. Still no notification.

Well, I use Autosleep, which does sync to the Health Sleep section.
I’ve no clue if that would affect it or not. I only found using the Apple sleep tracking features added in iOS 14 stopped the pop up from working for me. Might be a worth trying to stop using that on Sunday to see if it fixes it for Monday morning. Maybe an app update or has changed the way it interacts with health triggering the bug. I’m grasping at straws though. If that fails you either need to backtrack over any other settings/options turned on or off in the phone or health, failing that it is probably a case of logging it with Apple support.
I only discovered the Apple sleep tracking thing was an issue when I enabled it for my partner. She then suddenly lost her Monday notification. Without her phone and watch and making that change to match my setup we wouldn’t have discovered it. Maybe if you have a partner with an iPhone and Apple Watch you could do something similar assuming they still receive their Monday notification.

I'll look into that, thanks.

It's a bit hard for me to pinpoint because I moved from an Apple Watch Series "0" to an SE last fall. The 0 ran watchOS 4.x, because that's the newest it got, and the SE came with 7.0, so I skipped two OS releases and therefore don't really know how the behavior changed in the interim (and have gotten inconclusive answers on whether the weekly summary, and in particular the "smart move goal" suggestion, are still a thing that exists at all).

I’m on a series 6 and I can conclusively confirm the smart move goal with its weekly Monday notification still exists. It’s actually detailed as a feature on the series 6 watch page in the Apple store if I remember correctly as I linked it when I opened my ticket with Apple support. They didn’t find the solution to the problem for me but as I said, the problem for me was linked to the sleep schedule in the health app. When that is on the Monday notifications stop.
You can still manually go in and look at the report detail while you try and get to the bottom of what has caused the issue for you. Each Monday, open the activity app on the watch and scroll to the bottom and tap on weekly summary. It won’t give the smart suggestion for this weeks goal but it will still present all the other data that normally comes with the smart suggestion so you can make your own informed choice at least.

I can do that all week, actually, but yes, the suggestion seems to be entirely gone.

The weekly summary button is slightly different on a Monday though. It gives last week’s summary. After Monday it shows the current week’s data so far.

I restarted my watch yesterday in the early evening and it popped up. Including the smart suggestion for my move goal. It’s definitely a bug. Do you have do not disturb turned on for the early morning hours?

FWIW, I do.

But that wasn't a problem in watchOS 4; the notification simply stayed in the drawer throughout the day. It now doesn't.

Agreed, it used to work with Do Not Disturb on. My new working theory is that it has to do with Do Not Disturb activated, and that is why the sleep schedule thing was a factor.

I will adjust my DND to turn off a bit earlier for this next Monday to see if it works. I'll report back.

They’re back for me in the watchOS 8 betas! Odd.

Throughout 7, nothing. But already twice on 8. Unclear if this was a long-standing bug or if they initially wanted the feature gone but have reversed the decision.

This is great news! definitely a bug as I’ve continued to not have it, unless I restart I’m the middle of the day on Monday, if I do that it will pop up on. Monday evenings. I’ve had a similar experience with the daily coaching pop ups that recap what you did the day before.

Found this thread when I googled weekly summary gone. For me it disappeared after watchOS 8.3. Any suggestions on how to get it back?
