lol I was wondering about paypal as well...
But I seriously doubt that the order will get canceled somehow because of some flaw in paypal's system?
So has anyone with a stock Mac Pro on order seen any status change? Us with CTO once have some more wait to do but the stock orders should move along quicker right?

Well it's getting to the point where I am going to grab an alternative
Having made the mistake of selling my main system in Dec in anticipation of getting a unit by year end I am now getting a backlog of work that I just can't do on my little server I am using as a temp system,
Am going to give it till Friday and if no movement by then I will order a PC based system (available for next day delivery) and save myself £900 that will do for 18months or so
Must admit having never been involved with early orders on apple stuff before I am very disappointed with the way this has been handled considering its a fairly low volume business machine
So good news for others in line at least you will move up one on Friday

No date on the stock hex core my client has ordered here so far, should have ordered two at the Florida address and we would have had both five weeks earlier!
After my brief time setting up the us can which is now in Lagos via London I really would suggest to hang on in there and wait. Like l'oreal it will be worth it

Not even for stock models?! This is just getting sad actually ... Have there actually been any models delivered to the EU? Made the mistake to doubt between GPU's so only made my order the 28 or 29th so I'm in the "somewhere in february"-batch. So annoyed by this.
As Tim Cook tweeted, production only started on the date orders became possible, that's far from available in december
Yes, I kinda regret it now as well. Never expected the shipping date to be February in ~24 hours.
It would be rather annoying if my local UK Apple store gets in models before my pre-order arrives. But I knew it said February date 2 mins after ordering so can't grumble about that too much. I can of course be waiting with bated breath and checking my order status (home page) every 6 or so hours.
It's like watching the kettle boil
Edit: It could be worse, my dad once ordered a BMW M3 from Germany at launch, I think he waited 6 months for it to arrive in the UK.

Well in switzerland I already touched the mac pro in the Apple Store.
I ordered on the 19th around 4 pm CET+1, it shows me february.

Was looking around in Milton Keynes UK and they had the 6core model on display.
nothing was on stock with them was advised to order online if i wanted one.

so looks like retailers are just getting shop demos rather than actual quantity stock which is understandable.
The newish flagship store in Bath didn't have one when I checked last week which I thought was a bit unusual.

It's almost the same spec as me, although I kept the 12GB of Apple RAM and am going to buy 32GB from Crucial once the bank balance recovers a bit.
I'm in the UK too and I assume you ordered on the 19th, but out of interest at what time? Also, did you get the "it will dispatch in January" email from Apple?

Yeah - very chuffed! I can actually crack on with music work now! As I've been falling begin on certain projects..
I ordered as soon as the uk site went live (even had credit card log number ready in the clipboard!) ordered at 8:40am and ordered confirmed at 8:41am
Also got that dispatch in January email from apple too..
