Check this out..

I live in Oregon. My stand arrived in Chicago, then moved to Delaware, then Philadelphia. And now I just got a notice saying it has left Philadelphia. Where to??? Atlantis?

Update: It left Philadelphia and went straight to New Jersey. Makes a lot of sense since it's on it's way to Oregon..

You apparently aren't the only one because I saw this tracking info from someone who had posted on Twitter. Similar path as what you indicated:

Apart from weather or maintenance issues that diverted planes (or misreading package labels I guess) hard to imagine the rerouting. At least theirs is being delivered today.

Hi phantomsd,

We're actually constrained on processing refunds by a time limit from the credit card/bank itself--and this is something that is out of our control. This is actually quite frustrating for us as we offer a 100pct satisfaction guarantee and of course take full responsibility for all shipments landing safely at the recipient's address. When we need to offer a refund, for whatever reason, after the time limit has elapsed, we generally go for PayPal as it's the quickest and easiest way for us to reimburse the customer. It's a bit annoying, but it's the best solution we've found for processing refunds quickly when the time limit has passed.

Sincerely,

Noah

I call BS. I've gotten refunds to my credit card(s) months after making a purchase with NO restrictions.

STOP TRYING TO SCAM PEOPLE, NOMAD!

Interesting that mine is supposed to be delivered to Oregon and hasn't reached anywhere West of Chicago, it seems to be going the opposite direction. I called USPS and two different representatives said they couldn't locate it. Does everything that Nomad touch turn to dumb and incompetent?

We were vacationing in your neck sometime ago and both my husband and I had commented on how impressed we were with your post offices compared to ours here in the U.S. at that time. I'm surprised they aren't giving you guys continued tracking to your door.

I just received a parcel shipped via USPS to here in Australia, tracked all the way to me here, USPS and then Australia Post. Went through customs within an hour, so that is rubbish that there is a customs holdup. Another from FedX last week, again straight through customs.

Hmm that info came from DirectLink. I have to say that USPS has had much better tracking info than DL did. I had a pretty long time in Chicago but when it did move it arrived across country basically overnight. Clearly not the same for everyone. Also surprised that DL didn't mail the Australian packages straight line to you guys instead of west from China and essentially around the globe. Apple has definitely benefitted by having Tim Cook's logistics background over the years.

I think some companies might pay for express processing through customs. Definitely not Direct Link.

Really interested in how you did this and if it still charges properly.
Charges just fine I tested this out first with a sheet of paper in between the watch and charger and it charged it fine so I though a few coats of black and few costs of clear would work fine. Chargers it just like before. Magnet was t affected. I didn't want to wait for 3rd party black chargers if we even get them. It was a 30$ risk lol

Hmm, I'm interested too, but the charger works entirely on proximity and not on electrical contact, so I suppose it should work. Wonder if it takes longer to charge though.
I could test it with the standard apple charger. I'm assuming it wouldn't be affected

so tested it from 40%-50% checking it at 5 minutes, 8min, 9min, 10 min then every 15-20 seconds after that( i noticed it doesn't like to charge fast if the screen is always being turns on). They are both the same about 14 minutes to charge 10% with the way i did. Painted it didn't change charge times.

I think Nomad signed up for the USPS' "Wish and a prayer" service. If there's room on a truck, it's put on the truck, regardless of its destination. Law of averages, it will eventually get to its destination city. *smirk* :D

Edit: Visualize a bugs bunny cartoon with all of the destination labels on a trunk, you get the idea. :)

Just a quick shot of my silver Nomad.. I've added clear tape on the sides of the stand (cannot be seen on those pics) because it is definitely gonna scratch my link bracelet..

Where's my refund? I contacted your company a week ago about it and provided all the necessary information. I was polite and understanding, but I still received no response after two emails sent. Can you PM me so we can set up a PayPal refund?

Actually, it's likely in violation of the credit card agreement for them to not refund you directly. Call your credit card company first and let them know - they many insist that Nomad refund the transaction on your card.

If you don't let your credit card company know, you're letting Nomad off of the hook.

As I wrote on another thread, the day that I brought home my shiny new Apple watch I stopped by Best Buy and picked up a Space Grey Nomad stand.....even though having followed this thread for quite some time and I was well aware of the various issues I still had been intrigued by the looks of the thing in photos and wanted to try it for myself. Uh...well..... Because my watch is the stainless steel space black with the stainless steel space black links I immediately became concerned about metal hitting metal when the watch was on the Nomad stand. I placed tape in strategic areas in order to prevent problems. I wasn't thrilled with how that looked, nor was I really pleased with the color of the Nomad Space Grey stand, and I was also a bit concerned about the amount of pressure I'd had to exert in order to get the cable into the grooves. Was that going to potentially cause damage to the cable and wires? I liked the heft of the Nomad, it was very stable, and that was a plus. The Nomad took pride of place on my chest of drawers, ready to hold and charge my Apple watch.......

Nonetheless a few days later I was headed out to join friends for dinner and on the way I would be passing a Best Buy which carried the Mophie Apple Watch Dock in stock. I'd read some comments about it, seen a few photos and decided that maybe this would be a good option for travel, so I stopped in at the store and picked one up. Later at home I assembled the thing with my extra Apple watch cable, and immediately was pleased with the aesthetics of the thing, how it looked both with and without my watch on it, and most importantly how I did not need to worry about metal hitting metal, sticking tape on the thing, etc., etc. Decision time came quickly. To make a long story short, today I peeled the tape off the Nomad stand and returned it to the store.

Ran across this on eBay. The design looks familiar, though I can't quite figure out where I've seen it before.
What's especially great is the, uh, extremely reasonable shipping fees - I'm assuming it travels first class all the way. (No, no URL or seller's name, don't wish to give them the traffic - if you really want to find it, it shouldn't be that hard.)

The fear of scratching my watch was too much to keep it, so I'm selling my brand new space gray one in the marketplace for a considerable discount for anyone interested!

And if their pictures are to be believed, no cutout in the front on this one.

Those look like renders (which leads me to think that this seller got those images from the early Nomad site renders before they made the change)

EDIT: Actually if you look at the last image (with two docks side by side) you can see that the right hand dock does show a cutout (the one with the standard stainless steel link bracelet) if you mouse-over the image to zoom.

Read the reviews, there are plenty of photos of the stand.

Did any one bother to read the reviews on Amazon for this product? If they had, they would have noticed this comment (or one very similar) in almost all of the reviews: I got this for a discounted price in exchange of an honest review. I have no doubt that the reviews that don't have that text in it don't only because the writer either forgot to add it or intentionally left it out.

I also have no doubt that the majority of these reviews are not honest as a result of the discounted products.

The more I think about this, the more I think these are actual Nomad stands that Nomad provided to Madsen Outlet to generate interest and cash flow.

Seems like those ones are the 1st version of the stand without the cutout. Either way, the stand is sold under Amazon Fulfillment so it is very easy to return it in case it does not match expectations. I would have given it a try if I didn't already own an OEM Nomad stand.
