The adapters look... incomplete.
The leather loops say no longer available. Every band I've tried to purchase from aliexpress has been cancelled by the seller saying they cannot get the product in a reasonable time Over-selling?

I ordered the leather loop from eBay last night.
Yes the adapter looks like pre-production (you can see where the springs and bumpers will go), I'm sure it will be complete when shipped. I bet they showed those images just to prove they actually had a real product.
If it's garbage I'll just dispute with PayPal/eBay.
They look good otherwise.

Ordered the one from aliexpress last night, woke up today with a message from the seller saying the $29 price is only fora pre order, and I would have to pay 69.99.

I agree with this comment. It's suspicious how they don't photograph the actual product. You really have no idea what to expect

If the leather loop comes in medium length though, it might be worth it for the red band.

I think the biggest problem for me is not necessarily that I wouldn't pay 150 for a blue leather loop because I may as I think it looks like an awesome band, but the problem for me is that I would buy it, but I don't think it would be a daily wearer.
I occasionally would want different colored sport bands and I would want several of the leather loop colors. If I pay retail I could easily end up spending $4-500 on extra bands, which for me is a lot of extra money to spend on something that I would want just for interchanging style.
I suppose it does make the 3rd party band market seem pretty appealing.
If we can see some decent knockoffs, I'll be in for several to be sure.

Same here, the leather bands would be more for formal occasions.
I'm normally too active to wear a leather band. It would be destroyed by dirt, water and sweat in no time if I wore it daily.

I received an updated message from the Aliexpress site regarding the leather band.
The seller is now offering the band for an additional $10. So decided to go through with my order. Guess we'll see how good the quality is when it gets here.
