Ok so my Freedomoclock link bracelet ended up coming today. As a previous owner of the official Apple link bracelet I feel like I should give my input. The clone has much more weight than the original, which is a HUGE plus in my book. The fit and finish isn't as good as the Apple link. The clasp buttons aren't as flush and there are gaps between the links as they bend. Comfort wise the bands are very similar, they are both very comfortable. Resizing is pretty easy as well. The official Apple product is of course nicer, but the price to quality ratio leans heavily towards the clone in my humble opinion.

The gap is too much to ignore for me. I already took it off and plan on getting a replacement or just returning it. Let's see what Richard from freedomoclock tells me.

Why have we all been waiting for this? This is still not the 1:1 clone.
It's with a butterfly clasp.

These bands where already out there, only in silver.

They are not that good of quality btw.
Do you have to be SO negative about everything? Pretty much every. Single. Post of yours has something negative that doesn't amount to anything. Seriously man. I'm not being rude I just find it very unfruitful of you. If you don't like it, don't buy it. Some of us dig it. Why do you have to bash everyone's likes simply because you don't?

Because if someone else only reads that page that person may think it's the clone band.

There is just a lot of difference in quality and some of you sometimes post crappy things like it's the holly Grail and even write malfunctions down as "You hardly see it" or "If you wear it you don't see it".

So there has to be someone who is more honest or fair.

I understand that for someone $ 50,- for a crappy fake band is more than for others butt we are losing focus in here after we buy it, most likely because it's hard to confess to yourself when it's crappy.

But he if it's just me just don't read it. It's up to you.

Blue and Gold. Barf.

Hehe this indeed, they look like the "Gold" and "Blue" will stay on for a couple of days.
But it's nice if you want to give your nice SS apple watch a cheap look :D

For some it comes quicker depending on what you're getting. Sadly the silvers are back ordered so it'll be the end of this month before some arrive. But some shipped last Friday as well since he got 120 bands that came in that needed fulfillment but now the next batch is coming from a different manufacturer.

Thank you!

for $60 is not bad. I ended up getting a used OEM link bracelet for $350 on ebay..figured since the 1:1 is going for $200+...$350 isn't that bad! :)

I'm starting to think this is the way to go.

I'm leading an auction right now. No one in this thread better bet on it!

Before I get yelled at, I'm only kidding...

Kinda.

'Some' pictures of the Utica Guy Link Bracelet. Thank you Richard for the quick shipping!! :)

Had to link to another image hosting as nothing was working for me, image linking to my host, uploading to imgur, all erroring out. Luckily Postimage.org worked! :) These are very high resolution once you click on them twice. Enjoy.

So what are your impressions? Does the bracelet feel well made or cheap, overall? Is it worth $60, in your opinion?

Have one and it is good quality. Only problem is the gaps between the links. They are inconsistent and the band I got has a huge gap right where the band meets the adapter.

I like it it's quite nice. 2 Glaring differences are as everyone has said, the big gap between the band and the adapter. I can understand that depending on a persons wrist width it will vary. I had to remove 5 links for my 7.25inch wrist so it looks more noticeable as it 'wraps' the wrist tighter so must bend inwards more if you get what i mean. Also the bracelet clasp area the two buttons the gap is slightly larger, but no big deal. But the thing that could be a deal breaker. The hidden clasp inside is not very flush, so may leave impressions on the wrist after a while. I noticed i had them already after about 10mins of wearing. Looks painful but it's not.

Will post pictures of what i mean shortly.

I almost ordered the silver link band when it was first posted on here but since it wasn't shipping decided to wait and see how it turned out. Have to admit the gaps bother me and I'm not a huge fan of the butterfly clasp. With gaps like that I'm afraid over time it's a weak point that will flex and break there. The photo of the silver watch with the black band somewhere above looked sharp but assuming the black will end up being like the silver I think I'm going to sit this out. I hate buying things and returning them and waiting for refunds. And once you resize it and modify the band I'm not even sure the seller will take it back. I can see him not. Maybe eventually I just get the Apple link and save the money towards buying it. I still like the Apple design with the links and clasp better. Thanks for all the photos Armski.

Thanks for all the photos and impressions.
I should receive my link band from Utica tomorrow. I'm a bit nervous after seeing the "Utica gap" :) in the links. I am very picky about these kinds of imperfections BUT on this one I may just let it slide. I've had other bands that have an uneven appearance when the links bend a certain way and I've wasted a lot of money on cheap wannbe bands. For 60.00, it's still one of the better looking clones out there. I may change my tune tomorrow :) but I'll post some impressions when I receive it
I'm also looking forward to my forum discount :)

I know what you mean. I have skinney wrists and worry a bit about that. I'm hoping that the price of $60 makes it worth it vs the real deal for $450. Still, even $60 sounds like a lot for a knockoff. Just because of Apple's inflated prices....

It was only a matter of time until someone found their twin hands in this forums.
Just for you both:

In regards to the size of Uitca's link band - my wrist measures 172mm and I had to remove all of the extra links to make it fit. It does fit perfectly, though. Not too tight, not too loose :)
