I almost ordered the silver link band when it was first posted on here but since it wasn't shipping decided to wait and see how it turned out. Have to admit the gaps bother me and I'm not a huge fan of the butterfly clasp. The photo of the silver watch with the black band somewhere above looked sharp but assuming the black will end up being like the silver I think I'm going to sit this out. I hate buying things and returning them and waiting for refunds. Maybe eventually I just get the Apple link. I still like the design with the links and clasp better. Thanks for all the photos Armski.

Your very welcome, but for $60 it's a great deal. I'll explain why. The links are not cheap rolled steel, they are solid steel links. Most cheap watches and mid end watches with a steel band have rolled steel. So it feels light and cheap. This doesn't feel cheap, it has a solid feel to it. So far i am liking it, apart from the slight marks it leaves on my inner wrist. And the 'Utica Gap' is kinda wide. Hopefully he will get that taken care of soon.

'Some' pictures of the Utica Guy Link Bracelet. Thank you Richard for the quick shipping!! :)

Had to link to another image hosting as nothing was working for me, image linking to my host, uploading to imgur, all erroring out. Luckily Postimage.org worked! :) These are very high resolution once you click on them twice. Enjoy.

One difference I notice is that the adapters in this one can be removed. The one I got is not removable (only the links next to the clasp). I think this might be the reason for the gap on the links next to the adapters. Mine is pretty consistent with the other gaps, and isn't noticeable when looking at the front of the watch (only on the side/at an angle). I originally paid $200 though (aliexpress) and put a disputed for a $145 refund which I ended up getting back.

I'm seeing plenty of replica link bands and leather loops, but what about the classic buckle? It seems like one of the simplest to replicate and I haven't seen any.

Correct the adapter can be removed. Possibly they may have a replacement adapter to circumvent the large gap. However Chinese production is always tweaking so next batch should not have a gap. By then we may have a 1:1 clone available. :) $200 is alot for a clone. $60 is a bargain. How were you able to get such a big partial refund? I guess the seller sold it to you at cost plus postage by the amount he refunded?

The seller had it advertised as a 1:1 clone, and must have had photos of the actual Apple band. Someone else on this thread found one that looks just like the one I received but was only $55. So I opened a dispute for the difference (and posted a picture of the $55 one and a picture of mine with the dispute). I think once a proper 1:1 clone is available I will prob end up ordering one, but I'll wait a while until they perfect it, this one will do until then..

Alot of those aliexpress sellers have an apple oem in the pictures. If you look real closely you will sometimes see the OEM apple markings on the inside of the clasp (42mm). I'm surprised so many fall for that.

I would have demanded that seller send me what was pictured. the $500 band. :)

Haha they actually originally told me "oh sorry, my staff accidentally sent the wrong one", but when I asked them to take a photo of the correct band before sending it with their company name written on paper next to it, I got a reply saying "of course, I'll send the photos". Then nothing after that LOL. But I'm happy with only paying $55.

You know the re-sellers are not really to blame here (some re-sellers are dishonest but not all). What could have happened is the re-seller (whom you purchased from) could have been given that picture from their factory (supplier). The re-seller then places a pre-order and then starts his own pre-orders on ebay/aliexpress etc. Once the factory delivers the re-sellers see's it's not as pictured and either doesn't care and sends to customers or will try to work things out with the factory for a partial refund (they usually pay upfront for best price or on delivery) and offer a discount to the buyers whom complain.

The Utica seller had quite a few defectives delivered to him and his factory are taking them back/exchanging. I like dealing with honest sellers. They make sure what they send is as pictured/perfect as can be.

<Story>

Do us all a favor and buy yourself an Apple Original Link and quit whining.
If you're expecting a high quality product then go out of your way and pay the $485 for the real thing.

Thnx for looking after me but I already got a clone band. I posted pictures a couple of pages back.

It's the only one out there witch is spot on, no gaps, perfect finish, perfect adapter on watch side. And so on only with a butterfly clasp.

But he if you want to buy everything that's out there for your so called reviews be my guest.

Only is someone else is reading this maybe they have something on different opinions.

I am most certainly not stoping to post because you want to, it can only be a discussion if the good and bad things get talked about.

But it's like you said, if you don't like it just scroll through.

It is my understanding and i think other like minded individuals also that positive criticism is ok, but negative criticism is not always welcomed so can be mis-understood and leads to no-where. It's always best to stay clear of the 'negative' side of it but still be open to debate. Anyway this thread is about sharing clone band experiences and pictures mostly. So let's continue with the thread....

I've had both (OEM and this clone) and trust me the difference is tiny. In real life it's barely noticeable (I'll admit the picture makes it look a lot worse)

Is that Chocolate in the background what i think it is? Cadburys Hero's? A Complete Tub? Wow! i've been away from England for too long that chocolate is like a mirage to a thirsty man in the desert.. :)

First of all. My SO CALLED REVIEWS have done a lot for many. A shame that because I'm a girl you don't think that way. I have done a lot for many but since you're no one I don't have to prove anything to you.
Also, it isn't that am asking you to stop posting.
That's not the point.
What I'm saying here is that you're negative to everyone about everything. You bash everyone. Quite literally and I understand that many haven't said anything about it to the mods to avoid conflict or getting banned for telling it the way it is.

Always keep in mind that just because you don't like something and you consider it not to be good enough to work for YOU, doesn't mean everyone else will have the same experience.
You tend to bring people down and bash everything everyone says even when is being said respectfully and now you're not just making this old but crossing the line. I don't appreciate the mockery. And so do many others.
You have deviated this thread in to an unnecessary argument that amounts to nothing that can be productive nor informative for the rest.
If you are going to be negative about something is fine. Be negative but do you have to continuously bring people down in the process?
Again. You don't like t. You have had a bad experience with an item with a seller and so on. Share that. An honest opinion is what we all like. But when you go out of your way to say "yeah, this sucks or looks awful on you or this is crappy or don't buy it because it didn't work for me" it's getting out of hand and discouraging the people that come here to make an informed decision when they purchase something. And yes. Negative criticism is always welcome as long as it is constructive for everyone but your post have been nothing but denigrating and pretty much out of line.
If I get banned for saying the truth so be it.
I have been reviewing for over 10 years now. I know people that you could only wished in your dreams you knew. Being the co founder of apple Woz like an uncle to me. So when I give my humble opinion or review something for good or bad it is with the honesty and integrity but always thinking of the consumer that because just it doesn't work for me, doesn't mean it won't work for others. I know how to approach people in a respectful manner.

There's several factories making these bands in China and they ALL have a different product.
So my point remains. If you believe these items are less than worth it to you, you should buy the real thing instead of making it worse for other because at the end you're not informing people wisely but you're practically killing their hopes in to buying something that might actually work out for them because everyone and everyone's likes are difference than yours.
It's called common sense.

If I wasn't in the hospital right now I would keep going but you're already stressing the crap out of me. So peace out.

Hey :) I would give him the benefit of the doubt for now and assume he was just too passionate in voicing his opinions on the forum and just got carried away, after all it's an open forum for us all. Not worth getting too riled up over. Hope you're not in Hospital for anything serious right now. Stay well. :)

Does anyone wants a black Mesh bracelet without adapters or a 3 bead hoco band for free? I think these would fit a 38mm with Utica Guy Logs and Adapter. I'll send them to you for free if you send me the shipping label. Whenever I'm home I'll take a photo of them and post so whoever wants it can have it. I did the same with the hoco 5 bead for 42mm. Gave it away to another forum member so these are up for grabs for free.
Not quite a Milanese loop but I figure someone would use them. One is space gray and the other is black mesh.

I'm okay no worries. Just got an EKG done. I'm in for high risk of Stroke or Heart Attack because the new drug I just started is making things worse. Looks like Lupus invaded my heart so it's going to be a long night. Now I'm truly out of options so seems like it's a waiting game since none of the treatments are working anymore. With lupus you can be fine one minute and fighting for your life literally the very next. But I'll be okay. It's just a little scary right now. That's all.
No worries!

Oh I get my ML loop from Utica Guy tomorrow so as soon as it arrives, either while in the hospital or at home (if they allow me to which I doubt) I'll post pictures of it!

If I wasn't in the hospital right now I would keep going but you're already stressing the crap out of me and it's not even worth it. I don't mean any of these things in a negative way so please know that. I'm simply pointing out that you could use better words to approach people in a non rude way. That is all. So peace out.

If you are in the Hospital (witch has totally nothing to do with this discussion) you should not be bothered about some guy on the internet talking you band down. Just take care of your health and ignore that Dutch guy online.

If you like the band it should be fine right? I don't like most of the imitation bands here (and on eBay/AliExpress) because they look cheap, have gaps of wrong watch connectors and that's why I post my opinion, so if there are more cheap bands posted you got more "negative" posts.

English is my third language so sometimes things may come out wrong that's possible only if you only like positive replays than I have to disappoint you. Because I am not going to ignore this topic because you want to.

But last of all I hope your hospital visit is for the better. Take care.

Okay guys. Update. Utica guy is going to give a $10 discount for the link bands. They actually had to increase the price because the new bands that came from the new factory are actually pricier than what they had before.
The price increase in the new bands was actually $40 on top of the $59-69 he was charging for the links.
However because you all have shown to be great customers he will make a $10 refund on your purchases I believe if I understood correctly but before you make it make sure to send him a message and tell him that Jmona told you about the discount, so you may place your order after you contact him to confirm this and after your order is placed he'll knows that you're coming from the forums.
He would create the discount code but if he does his partners will create havoc so for now it's the safest way. Remover this. $10 was his own profit and because he is actually appreciating us as customers he will forgo that revenue to help us all.
He's such a pretty stand up guy. It's awesome to make business with someone that takes care of his customers!
I'm actually talking to him at the moment. So as soon as I know more in perfect detail I will post another update. I hope this helps even if it's only $10 for is better than nothing IMHO.

It broke my OCD. I know that the ML replicas from Utica got better with each shipment, but based on what Richard from Freedomoclock told me, it looks like this is as good as it will get...

Separated at birth? I never had an 'arm buddy' before. Even our watches match. :)

Never had an arm buddy either. Usually I am the one with the most hair in the room. Glad there are more of us out there lol.

This was Richard's response to the gap issue:

Hi,

Thanks for your message.

For the gap,it did happened, and it should be the smallest gap we can produce,we choose 1 from 4 piece,it is the mechenism design, our following shipping bracelet link will be same.

We test it many times before production,we look at the band by ourself, the gap looks little big, because our sight just saw the gap angle.from others sight, the gap looks normal.

Anyhow,we accept 100% return policy and full refund if you can't accept, especially after a long waiting.

Please kindy let me know if we can be of further assistance.

Richard
Freedomoclock09

At the very least, it is nice that he has that return policy. Really wish it looked more like Mike_88's clone. The big thing from his pics is that looking down at the watch, you don't see the large gaps on both sides of the band like you do on the one the rest of us own.

Is this for the new 1:1 clone, or is this for the .9:1 clone that has been around for a bit and just released a Space Black version?

I really want to get a link band, but at $90 to a $100, I think I might just wait on the 1:1 clone.
