Does anyone have a link to a good black link bracelet clone? I have a gen 3 one which feels light and cheap and like it will fall to bits after a few months of use.

I don't want to just get the gen 4 (with removable links like original) if its the same light weight poor quality.

Any recommendations / links?

Hi All!

After checking this thread I've ordered a black milanese loop:
http://nl.aliexpress.com/item/Origi...34.html?adminSeq=220848144&shopNumber=1186870

After about 10days I've received my order which is very decent. (China -> Belgium)

The loop looks very nice but there are some quality issues:

1) You have to fiddle around a bit before it "clicks" into place.
2) At the top side the little links aren't perfectly aligned. This causes the band to put itself into angle. (See first picture and PLEASE don't mind the hairy arms :D)

The first isn't a big problem imo but the second isn't normal I think.
Should I put in a claim for this at AliExpress?

Of course I can't say anything yet about the quality as I'm only wearing it for about an hour now but it feels very nice, firm and lightweight on the wrist!

I hope this little review was useful for you!

My 1:1 link copy. It's really really good. Easy to adjust with the push buttons. Gaps are typical sized. Basically looks exactly like apples

Where did you get your clone from?

Also, would you be able to weigh the strap on its own? I believe some clones are around 73g but they are of the lesser quality. No sure what the official apple one weighs - can anyone advise?

Recently ordered a 4th gen 1:1 link clone, so far it fits much better than my 1st gen, the gaps are even and tighter, and the design works well. I've only had it for a week, so I can't assess how durable it is but so far it hasn't shown any signs of falling apart.

Hi Sabalou1,

Can you confirm where you got your 4th gen from and how much the strap weighs on its own?

Also, has it stood up to the last few days/weeks of wear without issues?

Holding up good so far, hasn't fallen off or chipped. The weight I can't comment on as I don't have a scale that sensitive. I posted the link earlier, but in case it's too many posts back... http://m.ebay.com/itm/4th-Generatio...Steel-Strap-/331661155671?txnId=1195957955014

Also someone asked me earlier if I've tugged on the links, obviously I haven't.

Hey Jabz10, I just ordered one. Price is at $88 now. Not cheap but not super expensive and according to your pics looks exactly like the original. Love the clean, no pinholes look. Hope it holds up. These pics sold me:

Got my 4th Gen, 1:1 Replica Link Bracelet from Aliexpress, seller was Regis Electricmall.

It's not bad, pretty good replica. I did have some issues with removing some links, i.e. needing to press the button harder.
As you can see there are some gaps when wearing, however this seems to be the norm even with the original band.

I myself got a 4th gen...they must be coming out with a better version hence why the price is dropping on them.

I wouldn't be so sure they are making a newer version. The price drops simply cause that's how manufacturing works. The product tooling has been made and sales have been made to recoup the high initial manufacturing costs. As more bands are produced and sold, each batch essentially becomes cheaper to make because it requires less manpower, far less investment in equipment, etc....

The bands are priced really well now though that's for sure.

I second this

Nomad offer a nice brown leather band with black lugs and a buckle. I have just ordered one myself but hasn't arrived yet.

I am also after a space black link bracelt to go with my space grey sport. I saw both an eBay option:

http://m.ebay.com/itm/4th-Generatio...t%3D710-53481-19255-0%26rvr_id%3D949247902325

And the aliexpress option as well and considering it but after seeing so many 4th generations with wide gaps between links I may wait.

If anyone knows of any without the gaps I'd also appriciate it :)
