I didn't plan to have to check on the thread all night...
Well, this certainly isn't going well for my point of view.
Thought I'd have some more support here but it looks like I'm truly a fringe lunatic!!
I don't like they way Samsung shamelessly copies Apples stuff - and then acts like they have innovation in their DNA.
I didn't like their cheesy S4 unveiling. Sexist and creepy.
So, overall I don't like HOW they do business and therefore I don't want to support their company.
I don't care how many components are in my Apple stuff. It's clear that Apple doesn't like them much either and are moving away from them as a supplier where they can. So over time my Apple products will become more Samsung free and Apple and I will be happier.
At this point I just feel that loyalty compels me to take sides.
Don't think it's too much different from the Buy American campaigns. Doesn't mean that everything they buy will absolutely be built in America but they try to direct their purchases that way. Same here, I may not be totally Samsung free but where I can I will try to be.
Last TV purchase we brought home a Samsung. Thought the people looked over processed to the point of looking plastic. Luckily we ended up with an LG. YMMV.
Now looking at a new fridge and I just don't want to see that slimy Samsung logo reminding me daily of that creepy Shin guy.
When I worked for MCI, we did not buy ATT. When I worked for GM, we did not buy Toyota. As an Apple purchaser and shareholder, I'm done with Samsung as a company.
I think you should join along and tell Samsung to shove it. But if you don't wanna, then don't. But that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. I'll vote with my wallet, even if its a lone vote.
