It's wild even fanatics can get excited over A-powered laptops priced at a premium with specs that almost mirror notebooks Apple introduced almost 6 years ago (M1 MBA). They then hike up everything from between 20-45% despite racking in record profits year over year, quarter over quarter. I mean I would understand if their last earnings call showed an actual deficit, but it didn't. It was their best ever. They also pocketed the tariff rebates quietly.

This world is on the brink and you want us to be excited about purchasing ancient tech or spec bumps?

There's a reason people are no longer waiting in droves around buildings for the next iPhone.

at the risk of being obvious, I would suggest that the cost of AI (in the technology sector as a whole) has shocked those who expected a shiny new toy at little cost to their home systems thus the muted reaction is explicable as a 'sticker shock' phenomena - enjoy

And the Ultra getting the M5 with a lot more cores ?
Similar to the Studio M3 Ultra and the M4 Max ??

If the Mini got a choice of M6 vs M5 Pro then why didn't they do the same for the Studio ?
