i get that you find it difficult... yet this hasn't stopped millions of ios users from organizing their apps on their phones.

Listen, it's fine if you want to, as you say "leave things where they land" and don't care if your apps and widgets are strewn about in completely random order. And hey, if that works for you, that's really wonderful. I almost envy your approach (almost).

But here's the thing: some people actually want to organize the screens and widgets of their phones, if you can imagine that. Again, it's fine if you don't, really!

So maybe, maybe don't feel compelled to crap on others who want a little more functionality out of their phones, yeah?

Or, I don't know, go the other way and keep going to bat for "the quirky way it works" as you put it. Up to you, mate.

am not crapping on anyone. and i don't 'leave things where they land'; you have to read a post before you respond. my iphone has always been carefully organized, a process i (& millions of others) do on our iphones.

i agree that it's a bit fiddly, but it's not that complicated either...

Agreed. It could definitely stand some improvements to the mechanics... but it is completely do-able and not at all complicated... my phone is organized, as well, and I am quite happy with how I have app icons, widgets and folders arranged... and both the Today screen and the App Library are there if/when I need or want them...

Oh yea, deffo could do with improving. Sometimes moving an icon and not wanting it to be a folder is a bit over sensitive.

The ability to hide all the pages is amazing. I basically hide all the pages, keep some always used apps on the first page (2x4), and put a 2x4 suggestions widget below them.

If I need an app not on that page, I use the search (down swipe) and hit enter on the keyboard to launch. Very quick. Never even look at the auto sort page or the full list.
