Yeah, that's the only reason why I can't preorder and take advantage of the pre-order offer, I would need to wait for general release.
There's nothing on the website that says it has been extended so I guess I'll have to wait an see.
Same here

It did not take more than a minute for each of the Samsung reps I know at BB yesterday to check promotions for the Note 4. They both told me it was extended to get the $200 trade in.
They said they will be there when I purchase the Note 4 from the mobile department early tomorrow to make sure I get it on an off contract sale.
I am getting there early to ensure availabilty for the one I want even though I preordered. If I do not get that specific one from that store, no one will.
Please report back here if you are able to end up getting this off contract. I was told at one best buy that you could, but then by the Samsung reps at another Best Buy that no, in order to get the 200$ for the trade in, you had to purchase on a contract.
I have got my preorder to pick up, but already got a iPhone 6+ on Next that I have been trying out, so buying the Note 4 on contract is not an option if I did go that route.
I think when one preordered at the store they should have told folks about the $200 trade in policy. They never said anything about whether or not one can use it on an off contract device at that time, it pretty much was just trade in a working eligible smartphone to get the promotion.
Both Samsung reps today are going to push for me to be able to get it today off contract last I talked to them the other day.
Someone else said they're extending it for the next 2 weeks starting on the 19th but I haven't heard anything about it applying to other carrier stores, just best buy
here's this

but it's best buy, wish samsung would do the same
Hum interesting. Of note is the line that "customer must be eligible for a new 2 year agreement."
The problem I had at BB was not actually getting the $200 trade in. There was a lock in their system regarding activation on the device. It took awhile but they managed to override it.
How to get a Note 4 at T-Mobile retail store without any plan (no contract, full price), and if that's not possible, what's the cheapest no-contract plan they would sell N4 with? What's the strategy about getting an unlocked, plan-free device from TMO (I want to use my prepaid ATT SIM with it, but still want the TMO hardware)?
