It really depends. If I'm running hard, it'll pick it up, if I'm walking with my family, I get no credit, so I always have to have a walk selected.
I went for a 3 mile walk with Mrs AFB earlier. I selected walk but it was too gentle pace so didn’t register apparently. So even that’s not fall proof.

That happens to me too. I should have said walking with the family I always use other.

Ok, I just got my November challenge! I have to walk or run 45,6km, which is more or less 1km per day. I already got 18,1km done so it should be easy!

Unsurprisingly, I finished my November challenge today!

Also today I closed my exercise ring (25min) very early from just walking (ok, maybe running up and down the stairs) around the house doing laundry. It hasn't been a month since I got the watch, I still don't know what to think: if maybe I'm not as sedentary as I thought OR if the watch gives me way too much credit for doing the bare minimum LOL

25 minutes? Isn’t the default at 30 minutes? I’ve increased mine to 35. But might go a bit more. Trouble is my daily walks will stop soon as the weather deteriorated. Chucking it down out there.

Yes it is, but I turned it down to 25 in the first week. But I've been getting to the 30min mark every day now so I might turn it back up!

EDIT: The weather and shorter days definitely do not help. I do my workout indoors but I would like to start running eventually.

I think being able to change the exercise goal came with watchOS 7 ... no idea what the default is since it's been sitting at 30 min for me for 5 years ...

I had to double my move goal 3 times. That was relatively easy, I can't believe I got one that easy after October was close all 3 rings 30 times. I did do it, so I would have thought Nov would have been more challenging.
