That would be nice, if you are actually using a jailbroken iPod. The "jailbreak" you are referring to is actually just a soft upgrade. But that is ok, you can refer to it as that if you want, but the jail isn't actually broken on your iPod. You just have SpringBoard overwritten. Which allows you to install 3rd party apps and such like a jailbreak, but it is not as efficient. I am just going by what the dev team says, and other knowledgeable iPod touch users. Enjoy your upgrade though for now. It is only a matter of time before a true jailbreak is released. According to rumors, the dev team has a second method to do a true jailbreak that will be released after the SDK. Let's hope they do.
Bitter.
I'm not sure I understand where you're coming from on this. Jalibreaking in the common sense of the term means gaining full read/write access from root, which is exactly what the official 1.1.3 jailbreak does. The devs also call it a jailbreak. Springboard isn't replaced during it, you need to patch it separately to get access to apps & wobbly.
Looks like a jailbreak, works like a jailbreak, is called a jailbreak ... so in what sense exactly do you think it's not a proper jailbreak?
