Lahaina, HI
Hello everyone! Newbie here, my name is Heather and I hail from the island of Maui. I just got my first Mac and I'm loving it completely. I also posted my 'new member' post in the wrong thread initially so if there is anything you'd like to know, please feel free to ask.

I look forward to getting to know this community as well as my new MacBook :) :apple:

Hi. I am a new member, joined yesterday, but just stumbled upon this thread. Anyways, I have had my macbook for about a month now. My family owned older Macs when I was younger but then switched to windows. I used Windows all through school, but once my sister got a Mac, I took a liking to it and finally bought my Macbook after graduation from college. So far I love it and don't plan on getting any thing else other than Mac's from here on out.

hi,
short intro and question.

i am ichi (ichiro), refugee from Maccentral 10+ years, then the failed MW MacCentral Alumni, then i was booted from MacMinute after most of us refugees went there to join other from MC that had been there since a split we had years ago.
if you want to know ore about me, just ask, some info can be found here: http://www.math.fsu.edu/~trogers (espcially in he "soldier" folder). my youtube channel is ichisatori.

i'll pb be in the political spot and mostly.

let me say that i have enjoyed reading MR for sometime (i use SlashDock for that).

question about usage: is there any way to expand the thread index so i can see more than just the original post & title?

are there other mac user oriented political forums i might check out? just thought i'd ask.

peace

oops, may i not post in the political forum?

oh i see, darn. i have political things to say, what shall i ppst for 100 posts to be allowed to talk politics, fluff, post pads --not my style? :(

p.s don't mean to come right out causing trouble but what does 100 unrelated posts prove on topics i may not have come here for? i came in because i saw you have a political forum.

100 posts = hello and goodbye

100 posts before being able to reply to political topics is too much delay and far too much to ask.

why not believe ppl have good intentions first, before restricting them.

oh well. your board, your rules. not my cup of tea.

Newbie, PC/Mac convert!

Greetings,

I came to MF yesterday for the first time following a lead from our local Apple Store Techie [Tony @ KRCS].

He directed me to RichP for his ACD portrait conversion! Sweet!

I am here to stay - and listen and learn.

Thanks.

here we go...

ah... i went to TMO (The Mac Observer's Political forum).

i'd contribute here too, but 100 posts from me first is, well, absurd.

competition is good, we all support competition, right?

Just saying hi

Hi, I'm new the this forum. I'm a long time windows user. I'm also a software developer who has mostly worked in the windows world. I've also done some embedded development. I've been using an iPhone for quite a while and love it. I decided to take the plunge into iPhone development when the SDK came out and puchased a MacBook Pro. I have to say that after getting past the initial GUI differences I'm really liking the OSX!

Welcome me!

Not much to say about me besides I'm a Mac Geek... I own an iMac intel (new), and iPod touch, an iPod video, and an iMac G5 (no iSight). I love Apple, I hate Microsoft...

Um, I'm not "brand-new." I have been on here a bit, but had no clue of this thread, so I decided 'why not'? lol. I got a Cinema Display, iPod Touch, and a Macbook [which is currently having problems so I had to get it turned in to get fixed]. Other than that, hello!:D

I was supposedly doing the wrong thing when I created an individual thread about introducing myself. But its okay, I will introduce myself once more. I got my intel iMac in January this year after being a Windows user for slightly more than a decade and I am loving every moment of it. I am not looking back one bit.

My name is Darran and I am from Singapore. 21 this year and loves to do programming, versed in Java, ASP, CSS, XHTML and JavaScript, I am doing some self learning and trying to add PHP to that list. I also like to play football (soccer in American terms) and support S.S. Lazio (a team from Rome, any fellow supporters?).

I have a personal wordpress blog (I talk about anything which comes to my mind and most often than not, about geeky stuff) and am in the midst of creating a whole new template myself. Oh and feel free to add me on my MSN and we could chat even further.

Hi Everybody!

Hi,

I am a recent switcher (since Jan 08) and have been reading this forum ever since. Now that I have written 2 posts, I wanted to introduce myself:

Born and raised in Vienna, Austria. 25 years old. Was never much of a computer person, really. but like what I can do with a Mac now. Enjoy working AND studying at the same time. Enjoy partying. And sun.

what my Username means? Find out for yourself...:)

I have joined because I want help identifying an Apple IIe game that I used to play when I was a kid. There isn't much I remember about it...I think it was a maze, and there were wizards and dragons if I'm not mistaken. I know this only describes about 80 games, but I would appreciate any suggestions. The game was so fun!

my names Jake...

Still using a damn dell desktop but I graduate from college in May so maaaaybe I can get enough grad cash to pick up the Black MacBook 2.4

For some reason in the last year I have just become very board with pc's in general and there is just something about Apple that intrigues me as a company that makes me want all of their products.

I really hope to have my macbook in less than a month and hopefully I be on here all day asking questions and maybe answering a few myself..
