I am absolutely blown away at this. I will be shocked if Apple doesn't bring their processors to Mac within the next 5 years.

I know, right? Looking at the current Mac laptop line-up, the MacBook is now lighter, smaller and far less powerful than the MacBook Air (which is supposed to be the small, light, underpowered one). I think the MacBook is primed to become the first ARM Mac in the not too far future.

At this rate, they're going to get ahead of Intel. Not to mention, Apple is on a 7nm process while Intel's has been delayed for years now.

I believe Apple is treading carefully there, they need Intel in other areas still. They'd be careful not to cut them off unceremoniously.

Last time I had to get a quote, AutoCAD license was a few grand ($3-4K?). I believe Photoshop is several hundred dollars. I expect they had to study first if it will be worth the development cost.
Photoshop is $120/year on the CS Photography plan.

Is it possible that all 12.9in models have 6GB and 11" models have 4GB? Are we able to tell if that Geekbench with 4GB is a 12.9 or 11?
Hmmmmm... could that be why the 12.9's start at $1000 vs the 11? This question might have been posed already.

6GB of RAM, do we know what storage this model had? The 6GB on 1TB models only hasn’t been confirmed yet and I’m hoping it’s BS.

I had estimated 15-16k for multicore, 18k is just nuts. I think the only thing stopping them from chewing into the competition re. performance is that their own Macs are still stuck on Intel chips for the time being.

I would hate to see the 6GB only on the 1TB model

I don't understand the complaints.
If you want the 6GB RAM option, you know what to do. It's not insanely expensive to buy into the 1TB model for professional use. It's a great option and one I'm going in on.
