I just wanted to see if I want to get the IP6 or not. So kinda get myself used to an iphone again. My plan is to resell the IP5s and get the IP6 when it comes out.

Put it in a LifeProof case with a screen protector quickly...you can maintain almost 100% of the resale value.

I don't use cases on my phones. My take is if the phone is so delicate that it needs a $100 case to protect it.....then I don't need that phone. Then the phone is not designed for everyday use. I am not saying all phones need to be shock or water proof. But the material should be able to hold up against everyday use without damaging the phone. Why buy a premium material phone then put a plastic case on it.........why not just buy a plastic phone then.

I must admit that I have never been disappointed by any camera on any iPhone, IMHO, always superb.
Same here....that is what makes me excited for the IP6. I wish Apple would add voice commands to the Iphone camera like Samsung does. So much easier to hold the phone at arms length to see and frame your shot. Then just say "shoot" or "smile" and it snaps the picture without having to touch the screen or buttons.

That's actually my opinion too, I weirdly like broken glass on the back of my iPhone. It makes it look worn and tough.

But if resale value is your primary concern...

So far this year I have had the following phones....not in any order...
But I have not put a case on one yet. I have had no trouble reselling any of the phones I have had and getting most of my investment back.

HTC M8
Galaxy S5
IP5s
Nokia Icon
Nokia 1520
LG G3
One+
OPPO find 7a
Nexus 5
Note 3

You sold a One+? Wow.

I'm not saying you have damaged them, I'm saying you could keep it in mint condition.

Yeah the bezels are a worry to me too. The moto x is same size pretty much as the iPhone 5 as is and that's with a 4.7" screen.

Add the bezels from the iPhone and its going to feel noticeably bigger, as for the 5.5" version. If anything my experience with the one plus one shows me how a big screen with large bezels makes a large uncomfortable phone for me and I could never purchase another with those dimensions....

The bezels may be the only thinhg that stop me getting an iPhone

This is why I won't pre-order an IP6. I want to see it in person first. Like you said....the Moto X is a nice ergonomical phone with a 4.7 screen. Look at the LG G3 with a 5.5 screen. Both of those phones do not have huge bezels.

Yeah exactly.

I actually got a Sony Xperia Z2 and unfortunately the bezels just felt huge.

Now I have a G3 and it is fantastic screen:bezels ratio. The iPhone 6 will not have anything like that, can only imagine what the 5.5" one will be like size wise!

I was one of the first to call ios7 ugly as sin. The OS isn't the issue, but rather the UI and gawd-awful colored icons with not very well executed flat styling. Still say it was motivated by the My Little Pony theme.

Very, VERY strongly disagree with you on that.

Well, I know you can't see this - really wish the answer to disagreeing wasn't ignoring, but it is what it is. Glad to see you're trying out iOS again.

I really think the iPhone 6/iOS 8 release is going to make for the biggest quarter Apple has ever had BY FAR. I'm guessing their sales numbers will rival even Samsung's ENTIRE smartphone sales #s.

70 million isn't out of the question.....all indications are they are gearing up to make that many. Add in the 5C's and 5S's that will undoubtedly see sales spikes due to price drops (the 5C at Free/$450? that's a great deal, 5S at $99/$549 is even better) and Apple is in for a massive holiday season.

Can't wait to get a 6. I'm starting to pine for a larger display....in that respect I've joined "the dark side" :p

I strongly disagree.....anytime I see iOS 6, I think "damn does that look old"....

iOS 7 looks fantastic in my opinion. And I'm not into My Little Pony...

I hope you aren't going off that TMZ report....

The photos of the display that MacRumors posted a few days ago look much more in line with what I think Apple is capable of. And from the position of the home button and what I think seem to be the display lines on the front, it looks like the bezels are going to see a pretty drastic reduction....or as best as they can do while still making the device structurally sound and keeping the TouchID home button there.

Edit: This is where I think I see the display.....
