cool! we've actually got a directory! :D

if people keep adding their photos to the MacRumors pics thread, how wil you add them to this thread?

will you keep it all organized, with the directory/photo links part on page one of this thread?

this should be really good. :D

Yes. Each time I have an addition, deletion, or correction to make, I'll edit those first three posts. I split it into three parts so I wouldn't run into the limit on the size of a post anytime soon.

Thanks for the great work, Doctor Q. Just wondering -- would it be possible for the moderators to make this thread "sticky" so it will remain on top of the list of community discussions? I think this thread really deserves it. And otherwise, it will be hard to find for new members.

This is a great resource and something that shouldn't end up in the Wasteland. If you want to discuss the Photo Directory and other associated topics, please use another thread.

The MacRumors Members Photo Directory has a new feature!

The word NEW now appears for photos posted in the current month (currently November 2003). By looking for the word NEW, you can spot the most recently added photos. There are four at the moment, but it will change over time as I remove old NEWs and add new NEWs. And that's the news for today.

Hmm you're post seems so familiar. Could it be that I just got done watching Monty Python and the Holy Grail? It probably is there is a strong likeness.

Excellent work. It looks like it would have taken days to do, but in the end we all appreciate your work.

I'll add my photo to this forum later. Do I need my own picture host to do so, or can I just attach an image at the bottom of the reply screen?

You can attach a photo (normally a jpeg file) if the file size is less than 102400 bytes. So check the size with Get Info ahead of time, and then click the "Choose File" button when you are submitting the post.

Yeah, I knew that. I just wanted to know if you wanted me to host my pic at MR, or whether you wanted me to use a host such as home.no, or one of the other free ones. I'm sure that the files uploaded to MR are cleared once in a while, since they may take up too much space.

Anyway, thanks. Once I buy new NiMH batteries for my camera and hook it up to my Mac, I'll put it up for viewing/scrutinizing.

Now I understand what you mean. I have never heard arn complain about the storage required for uploaded pictures. And photos of members are of general interest, so it's for a good cause.

(Be sure to post your photo to the MacRumors pics! thread, not this thread.)

I'm absolutely sure you can as AL made it known that we can post all our photography thread photos there if we wish.

You can also use Spymac.com. It would be a better use of there storage and bandwidth then 99% of the drivel that goes on there.
