I will travelling to my nearest Apple Store in the UK this morning. I am torn between the 13” and 11” iPad Pro. If this helps, I will be 56 this year. I have no problems with the 11” for general use. I even have my iPad set to use “more space” which makes everything smaller. That said, my eyes are not typical for my age as I do not need glasses for anything apart from very small text in low light. However, if you do wear glasses, I would imagine the 11” would be perfect for your needs.

I have reservations about the 13” iPad, which is why I am travelling 50 miles to see it in person. At the moment, I am typing this in bed, with the 11” iPad held comfortably aloft in my left hand and typing with the right. I need to be able to do this with the 13” or it’s a bust. I have held the 12.9” iPads before but I always found them too heavy and cumbersome. I’m curious to see if the much thinner/lighter 13 iPad changes the equation.mI’m gonna check em out on Monday & make the decision then. May swing past John Lewis as they may have older air pro 11” if Prob get pencil pro with Smart Folio case thing or Logitech combo keyboard, looks sweet!
Yeah honcho, my eyesight is 20/20 so shall try the 13 instore on Monday, if heavy I’ll pop into John Lewis/argos to see what deals they have on 11”pro last gen.not fussed about front camera being portrait etc.

So OP made a huge argument to get the 13” but ended up returning theirs. Ok.

In a nutshell, both sizes have their pros and cons. Both are great.

I’d definitely get 13” if it was a laptop replacement. But no, I want portability and one-handed reading, so 11” is the one for me. Loving it still.

I’ve had the 13” Air for a few days, and loving it. The bigger size is excellent for using Logic Pro, which was a challenge on my Air 4, and it’s really fast.

Glad I didn’t trade in the Air 4 though, the 11” is a perfect size for web browsing. The 13” is a bit clunky for general use.

Horses for courses, I reckon I’m set for a few years now - the 11” for less challenging tasks, and the 13” M2 for tasks that require a bit more screen space and CPU heft.
