Woohoo, the retention rep called me back today and gave me the credit AND her blessings to pre order from BB. So with my iPhone trade in, ATT's credit and the BB credit I'll end up at about $220 spent!!!

Wait, what? What kind of credit?
I'm assuming that because I'm going with AT&T Next upgrade program, my options are a bit more limited in terms of credits and discounts. I hope I'm wrong though.
I complained that the ATT Note 3 was more expensive than Tmobile and Verizon and I felt like I was being gouged, which is completely true. She agreed and got her supervisors permission for a bill credit. This was contingent on me upgrading, I asked if it was ok if I upgraded through BB and she said sure but she wouldn't issue the credit until she saw the upgrade through the system. Next day I preordered at BB with an upgrade to the Next setup, and not 20 minutes later the rep calls me back and says all set, the credits would be applied to my account. I guess they can see when you have activated your upgrade regardless of which vendor does it.
For all the crap ATT gets, I can't say I've ever once been unsatisfied with their customer support in the past 10 or so years I've had them.
BTW anyone have any suggestions for what phone I can buy from ebay to use as my BB trade in? Has to show up as having value in their system, one BB told me $10 or more, another said any value as long as it wasn't $0. Also has to be a "smartphone".
So ended up buying the Note 4 and I have to say I'm absolutely happy! The phone is AMAZING. My only complaint is learning all of the settings. There are just so many functionalities baked into the phone that you feel a bit overwhelmed but in a good way. They all are useful and productive.
Here's a summary of the deals I got buying this phone.
$200- for iPhone 4
$200- for Samsung Captivate
$50- bonus for captivate best buy rewards members
So in total...I made $150 buying this phone lol. I also got a code from Samsung for %50 off an item $50 or less on their site. Might grab a smart cover for $25 off.
Was rough waiting the last 3 weeks or so. Quite a few times an iPhone 6 plus came in stock and I had to watch it be bought lol.
Now I'm patiently waiting on the update from ATT that boosts battery life a bit. Right now battery life is solid so can't wait for even better results.
You should use that Samsung code to buy a battery kit, that's what I'll be getting if the UK gets a discount code too.
Ios doesn't have any stylus support so I'd go with Android. Here is a legit question.
If iOS was available on both the Note 4 and iPhone 6 plus which would you pick?
And if Android was available on both the Note 4 and iPhone 6 plus which would you pick?
I personally would pick the Note 4 in both situations. That phone would be a beastly iOS device.
Note 4 is faster and more responsive than iPhone 6 plus. Also I read many places the camera is much better than iPhone 6.
Samsung has better experience in making phablets as they are making them for quite some time.

The leading independent display rating labs rate the Note 4 as having the best display of any smartphone..Note 4 blows the highlights out. As a photographer I would rather have the dynamic range.
As far as benchmarks, deoends on what is being measured. Iphone 6 for example has a better display, but note 4 May be slightly faster. Pick your poison.

It would be a serious challenge to find one reviewer that states the iPhone 6 has a better display than the Note 4.
The iPhone 6 shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as the Note 4 if we are talking about displays. The 6 plus yes but not the 6.

This is your opinion. And if you want to go on scientific analysis the only one is DisplayMate and the Note 4 has the best screen period, lcd or amoled.
The first benchmark I looked at says the i6 has a better display. Certainly easy enough via web search to see what everybody says.

Not my opinion, the reviewers opinion.

The Best Smartphone Display
The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are the current Best Mobile LCD Displays and the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 4 are the current Best Mobile OLEDs Displays. Both are impressive and excellent displays with great state-of-the-art display technology. We recently gave the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 our overall Best Smartphone Display award, and for the time being that continues for all of the reasons originally mentioned there. In particular, for implementing Color Management to provide multiple Color Gamuts, and then using the Color Management to provide the Highest Absolute Color Accuracy for Standard (sRGB/Rec.709) consumer content of any Smartphone or Tablet display that we have ever measured (in one of its four available screen modes, which many reviewers seem to overlook). As we discuss next, dynamic Color Management is something that every display will need to provide in the future.

I gave you a source for my claims.... Your turn.Honestly, I never heard of displaymate website. What would make their opinion more worthwhile than any other website?
