Got my 512GB Silver Wifi model, along with pencil and black smart folio, ordered! It seemed the 1TB model was not available whenever I tried to place it in my bag I received a notification that it was a no go. I'm sure I'll be happy with the 512GB model.

I am a bit concerned about the trade-in process. I stated when I placed the order I needed to mail in my current ipad within 14 days. However, the new one won't be here for at least 21 days. Does that 14 day countdown happen at the time of ordering, or at the time of receiving the new replacement model. I can go two or three weeks without an iPad, it'll just be a bit inconvenient.

I traded in my watch and the 14 days started from when they shipped the new one.

they usually don't send out the mail-in pack until around the time the product youve ordered has shipped.

I ordered within 6 minutes (see my issues with my bag getting emptied 4-5 times). However, my ship date on the iPad Pro 12 1 TB is June 2 - June 6. Ugh. Was hoping earlier than that....have a photo shoot end of the month and wanted to use it for some edits, etc. Ugh.

Well I managed finally bag an order for the 11" and 12.9" iPad Pro 1tb SG versions, after many clicks and items falling out of the bag, my frustration was going thru the roof !!!

Also ordered the same sizes on Logitech Keyboard, as the 12.9 finally came into stock... I prefer these much better as the iPad can be separated and the pad can be used on its own with the kickstand :)

I agree with a comment earlier, I think they should have brought the store down for at least an hour or so!

Ended up preordering 1TB 5G Silver from Amazon. Woke up 6AM and the 1TB 5G has already slipped to Jun 7-23 on Apple while Amazon still showed May 24 availability. Amazon shows out of stock on 1TB 5G Silver now so I'm hoping I was able to get one of their launch allocations and I can get the iPad on time.

Granted, all things considered, a delay through WWDC isn't all that bad.

Lol, wasn't expecting the demand to be so high on this. Woke up 6AM and 1TB 5G had already slipped to Jun 9-23 on Apple so ended up with a (glitch-free) preorder from Amazon.

demand seems to be on the big dudes, 12.9“. The 11” hasn’t seen any slippage.
Not too surprising since the 12.9 is the one that got the big display upgrade; the 11 is really only an upgrade if you want the M1 or if you‘re looking for more storage/capabilities.

the 11” model hasn’t seen any slipping. Everyone is after the big boy.

so I guess we can conclude its not M1 that's the bottleneck for the supply, its that mini-LED XDR screen

I still would love to see some damn hands on before getting all hot and bothered by it.

I already ordered mine, but I just checked the store again and ALL options are available (size, color, storage). All 11” ship in May. All 12.9” ship in June
All ship in June, exact As I expected this is a paper launch. The real street date in somewhere in June. For technically sake they may sale a handful of units in May.

I already knew Mini-LED would be a bottleneck. Just didn't expect ship dates to slip this quickly. ?

Apple has a history of under promising and over delivering, meaning you may actually get bumped to an earlier date. With the shortage of displays however, I question how much that’s going to happen this time. I feel like whatever dates you’re given, expect it to be towards the latter half of the time frame.

It’s odd however as for a brief period some were getting delivery windows that encompassed most of June, like Jun 2-29. I’ve never seen Apple do that before. Usually they pinpoint a week not a whole month.

Good luck I hope that pans out for you. Personally I’ve never had good luck with Amazon keeping good on their promised delivery dates, even for items not being preordered. Apple had never failed me though.

Been an Amazon Prime customer since '05/06 iirc and I've very rarely had issues with Amazon delivery.

In the last 2 months I’ve had 3 packages go ‘missing’ that were arriving via Amazon’s delivery service and 2 others that were delayed more than a day. I hope you have better luck than I do!

Can someone send me link for 12.9 IPP for Amazon? I can’t find it for pre-order.

Is the May 24 date accurate?

I wish I would have connected with this thread at a more opportune time.
I checked at 5 am Pacific for 5 minutes so left for an appointment as I thought they always went live on the hour.
I finally got order through before 6 am Pacific, but that pushed delivery well past my immediate need so am evaluating possible options.
