WHAT? Are you serious?

The Apple button AND search buttons are necessary.

The Apple button takes you home, wherever you are, and lots of people use search boxes on websites to find things.

W W W WW WAAWWWWWAHHHHT????

this thread is kind of carrying. If Apple is actually implenting this device, i'm pretty sure the Web Site is the least of their worries.

I will be happy when you see that a multibajallion dollar company can figure out how to add another link to their nav.

I think the front page of the website will be completely redesigned and will reflect how the tablet fits into the whole picture. It doesn't make sense to have iPod and iTunes together anyway. I think the iTunes store will be re-emphasized as a separate thing, separate from products and support. There will be three main categories - products, content and support.

Um no I'm not joking. If you don't care, don't reply. There are threads about Apple stock, threads about Google execs saying they have a stable relationship with Apple, and I don't care, but I don't go into them and say that because SOME people care.

There are Apple designers wondering about this problem right now and wondering what to do about it, so YES some people care.

I do a lot of web design and (while not for a huge corporation) really never think about such mundane things. I do what people ask and make it happen, so do Apple's web designers.

I will bet you a lunch that Apple designers: 1.) Have already figured out what they are doing since the announcement is Wed., 2.) Certainly wouldn't classify this as a problem, and 3.) Aren't wondering or losing sleep over this.

If Apple can revolutionize technology, certainly they can handle a simple and inconsequential design change.

agreed. Apple has already solved this problem. No need to OCD about it. They already have the new website updates ready - they are just not showing them yet. This thread will have zero influence on that.

The OP is not doubting that. This is just a discussion as to what people predict :)

Nothing wring with discussing this.

I predict: The tablet won't be compiled into iTunes, iPod or iPhone because that would degrade it. It will either have its owen category OR it will be joining the "Mac" category and be put right below the Mac Mini.

Also, the easiest thing to do would be creating a "products" tab. You could then place iPod, iPhone, Mac, iPad and Hardware into this category. Consolidate :) then add drop down.

True - Don't want to seem harsh :)
It's always fun to see how Apple decides on things, and the logic/reasoning behind why - In this case, we can predict our way of doing it, then see what Apple does. All caps sounded a bit Josh Lynam when he had PTSD.

Currently the tablet is in the Mac hardware section on macrumors...

Think Different

Lmao you guys have no idea. You just don't understand how artists like Steve and I think.
This is what me and the engineers at apple have come up with.

Heh, you've messed up. You need to resize that so you have to scroll up/down and sideways. It makes great use of the two finger scroll trackpad.

Am I the only one who finds it odd that there isn't an iPad section on Apple.com?

Looking for Mac? Click the section. Looking for iPhone? Click the section. Looking for iPad. Click the main banner on their homepage. What happens when the next big thing becomes news?

This has been brought up several times
But the product isn't even available yet
It is possible it will be added when it does become available

And if not, what difference does it really make?

Yes, it's very odd. Also, I've been monitoring the parking lot in Cupertino. Yesterday, there were 17% red cars, but today it's 19%, which compares interestingly to the national average of 15%. What is going on!!!!???
