From Radeon962;

OnePlus must be hurting as they will be selling tickets for $40 to attend the launch event In Brooklyn.

From the OnePlus page:

That’s why we’re inviting you to join the team in Brooklyn for the official unveiling of the OnePlus 5T. Tickets will be available on our Launch Page for $40 USD on November 8. We look forward to seeing you there!

Their two other brands - Oppo and Vivo in India are very popular and sell a lot of phones. The top end of the market in India is carved between Apple and Samsung, so OnePlus is struggling for market share there as well.

That's not why you sell tickets to an event like this. The money is negligible. It's a marketing ploy to make it seem like a big deal, as though it's an event.

Does rooting and installing custom ROM's completely stop OnePlus from secretly stealing your data ?

With that aside, I am super pumped for the OnePlus 5T, a 6" screen screen, near bezelless with the same spec's as the 5, and fingerprint scanner on the rear. That sounds like a great phone. Right now battery tests still show the OnePlus 5 as the battery champ between the Note 8, iPhone X, iPhone 8 Plus. And the 5T is rumored to have a larger battery

The camera is mediocre at best, but the FPS is awesome, lightning fast and absolutely reliable.
Really? I have to jab the FPS 3-4 times to get a read on the damned thing.. every other FPS I used was quicker than the 3T.

Hmmm yes, using an OP3 since nearly 18 months now, the FPS is doing VERY well here, as I could test some other smartphones like S8+, Mate 9, LG G6,....

May be mine is a defective? My wife came from an S6 Edge+ and her complaint is the same. I never really liked it in the front though, FPS in the back is the way to go.
