FWIW, I know this is an old thread ...... I bought a OnePlus 9 phone as a back up. I have a S 25U for day to day use. Must admit the Oxygen OS is nice and fun to interact with it.
One "feature" I miss from Samsung is the notification that tells you how long until the battery reaches 100% when charging

Off topic but can I use an One Plus Type C cable to charge my 16 Pro Max? It won't damage my phone or anything because the One Plus UBC C is meant for One Plus phones?

I'm downloading the latest update

Same. Using the Pixel on the work line and I just can't get away from the S25U on my personal. Hard to find a place for my OP13 in the rotation.
I hear you, I've found some equal time on both phones with the Fold mainly at home

Confirmed that the OnePlus 13s is only for India. Not sure what’s going on with OnePlus these days. What devices they decide to release globally seem to be without rhyme or reason.

Could tariffs be a player?

I think they had made up their mind already before the tariffs. I know some people have imported the phone anyway using it in the US on some carriers.

I hope this ban doesn’t happen. (But I also hope OnePlus devices aren’t phoning home to China.) Too few Android brands left in the US. Article theorizes that Motorola could be next. We already lost Nokia, HTC, LG, BlackBerry, and probably others I’m blanking on right now. Nothing Phone 3 looks awful. Fairphone 6 is underpowered. I feel every single year it’s just Samsung and Pixel. I miss having choices.

How does the 13 compare to the P9XL and S25U in terms of daily usage? I saw multiple comparisons but in the end a benchmark doesnt tell the whole story.

I tried the 25U, but I can't hold it comfortably. So I need something different. :D

Hopefully nothing comes of this investigation if there is one.

I'm quite happy with the phone, it gets the most usage out of three phones. It has a nice balance and does many things outstanding.

A sales ban in the U.S. will steer me even further away from Samsung, Google, and Apple. The Xiaomi 15U already has all necessary bands for U.S. 5G, including band 71. I imagine some others will follow suit. This is getting more and more ridiculous, the lack of options here. I have no evidence to back it up, which, in today's world means it's 100% true, but I think in some way Samsung, Apple, and Google are involved because they know they are being absolutely destroyed by these Chinese phones. It is in the Big 3s' best interests to prevent Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi from having a presence here.

I miss having a OnePlus device sometimes. I originally had the OnePlus 8T way back, and then I eventually got a OnePlus 10 Pro. If it weren't for me accidentally dropping my 10 Pro down a flight of apartment stairs almost a year ago, I would still be using it today instead of my Pixel 9.

I will say that the red charging cable and power brick normally included with OnePlus devices is awesome. It feels like just about anything charges a little faster on it, and it was exceptional at charging my OnePlus from almost no power to 100% in less than 20 minutes.

Same with the auto industry. If we allowed Chinese cars to be sold here, especially EVs, American brands would never catch up.
