Just noticed your sig. How come you dont game on those machines natively. They have good graphics cards in them

I do game on them, but a game for 70p and a bunch of others i get for free for 3 months was too good to pass up! Also means I don't have to download anything!

I don't think I would ever buy a full game on OnLive until my computer is incapable of playing natively but its still a pretty nice service.

Nice. Yes you should be alright for a while yet with that 6750 and 5670. :)

I am mainly waiting on Star Wars: The Old Republic coming out so happy to play anything else in the meantime! OnLive also means that i don't have to boot into windows haha so I will take a slight graphical hit to save me the 3 minutes to boot into windows.

They were giving free OnLive consoles to everyone that queued up for it at the Eurogamer expo so I got one (well a voucher to get it as they ran out of stock) and since I'm a BT customer I get the 3 months free so I'm quite happy :)

Just waiting for the console to be delivered but from what I played at the expo it seems like quite a cool service. Looking forward to trying it out.

I actually signed up from here in Ireland and played war hammer 40k space marine for 30 mins today on my MacBook air 11".... Was seriously impressed especially given our crappy Internet connection.

Shame I can't properly use the service and add billing info as I'm not in the UK, but if I was - I'd have no hesitation using the service.

Definitely the future of sorts.

Just gave Gaikai a spin. Never heard of them before but they stream games too. Had 30 mins on Crysis 2 and i really want this game. One advantage i can see over Onlive is the fact i could change resolution/settings/ At the lowest it uses about a third of what Onlive does. Useful for those with datacaps.

Annoyingly Mass Effect 2 isn't available in the UK at the moment on there though. Also dont see anyway of buying the games other than store links and direct download links

Gaikai only provides demos, its designed so developers can embed a demo of their game right into their website. Its not really an online competitor.

Ah i see thanks for the info. Still though i wish that Onlive would take one idea from them and let you change resolution.
