Your claims are absolutely absurd, the 11 Pro has a much better battery than your XR yet no one claims such bogus battery usage stats as you. The 11 pro doesn’t have a 2 day battery life, if it was unused in standby then it might be possible but if the phone is actually used then no way will you get through a day without having to charge period.

You can get almost 2 days with light usage on the 11 Pro and more than 2 on the Max.

Optimized charging worked once for me since iOS13 came out. I stopped caring about whether it’s going to work or not.

This feature has never worked for me on my 11 Pro. I have yet to see any message about it or see it stop at 80% when charging.

I was thinking the same, but the feature only works when charging overnight, and the messages only seems to appear when the phone reaches 80% when charging, it’s a disclaimer in case you are going to be using your phone before the mentioned time...
It works, just not as we expected I think...
Btw, if you are using the phone it won’t do it...

Light usage? Lol what a nonsense statement to make for a powerful smartphone such as the iPhone 11 Pro. Why do you even own an iPhone 11 Pro if all you do is "light usage".. Once again, you claims that the iPhone 11 Pro has a 2 day battery is nothing but pure nonsense and misleading at best. You must have not heard of Youtube or the Youtube App for iOS, if you watch 3-5 hours of Video on the youtube app then you will suddenly see the true battery life of the iPhone 11 Pro as the battery drains from 100 to the low 40s and 30s within hours. Battery life is determined by USAGE, not by not using your phone or only using it to send text messages and or "light" web browsing. The Instagram and Facebook apps are great battery hogs as well, but you don't use any of these apps either.

Not everyone’s life revolves around watching YouTube all day on an iPhone pal.

Not posting to start any fires or get anyone upset - just posting my usage.

I've owned an 8+, Xs Max, and a 11 Pro Max. I've always gotten to the end of my day with ~90% on days I work. If I went out with my wife to the LA Natural History Museum (taking videos/photos) then yeah, I could hit 60% by the end of the day.

I've done a 5 hour flight from PHX to DC and read a book almost the entire way and still had 80%+.

I venture to guess with my "light" usage, I could get 4+ days of usage out of my iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Most of my use is on my MBP, iPad. Why do I have an 11 Pro Max? Love the battery life, the screen, and the cameras (I have a 60k photo database). I rarely watch video on my iPhone, but when I do, it's usually short spurts.

----------------------

I have a fairly consistent charging schedule and only seen Optimized Battery Charging work only once or twice. I think because I use my phone in my Honda Civic for traffic and have wireless charging at home/work - (which I almost never have to use) - it just can't figure out my charging schedule.

Doesn't bother me too much due to the fact that I could easily get 4 days of use (my use) out of my phone.

My wife (11 Pro Max) usually ends the day and needs to charge (30-40%+) but she's far more active as she teaches classes, has a social life, and does things like that.

Its not just Youtube Lol, There are Social media apps out there such as instagram and facebook which millions including myself use every single day for multiple hours everyday (You being an exception, obviously) and these apps use up a great deal of battery life on a daily basis which reveals the true capabilities of the iPhone's current Battery capabilities which are not great for moderate-heavy daily usage. In addition, GPS usage such as when geotagging happens in the background when taking photos, or if using Maps to navigate and GPS is constantly engaged for navigational purposes also uses up a-lot of battery as well. These usage patterns highlight the flaws in modern day battery technology and Apple is very much aware of it. There’s a reason why they just released the all new battery smart cases.

Flaws in battery technology? And somehow it's on Apple if something like that even exists?

Yes you've read that right, Flaws. The biggest limiting factor in modern day smartphones is the Battery Technology itself which needs to be charged over and over again, day after day and quite frankly, Leaves a lot to be desired.

Why are you even talking about all that? It was completely irrelevant to my post.

For me, having it turned on from the beginning of the iOS 13 release in September, it took about 2 months to actually start working. Prior to that, I didn't see any flattening of the charging levels when I was sleeping.

Which charger are you using? I’m gonna test out the 5W charger and see what happens since maybe my wireless charger just isn’t “supported”? I’ve had it on since I got the phone and haven’t noticed it doing anything to optimize, just goes straight to 100%. I wake up around 6:15 every weekday so it should have figured that out by now.
So is that the issue for me too that only certain wireless chargers are supported?

After a month, it seems to have settled on a 4 hour buffer before wake up time to bring it up to 100%. Better than nothing... I guess

Works for me - I take my phone off the charger around 6am every day and that's what my iPhone does. Around 3am it goes slowly from 80 % to 90 %, and just before 6am, it hits 100 %. Wireless Anker charger.
