I see the orange sport band was discontinued - I waited too long to pick one up. Has anyone seen these in the stores recently? They're not available online any longer to even check store stock - Hoping to snag one before they're totally gone.

Best Buy now has the Orange Sport, Apricot Sport and the new orange colored wovens available online to order.
[doublepost=1475547923][/doublepost]As for the suggestion to spray the third party silicone bands with Armour-All, I wouldn't care to put a car product next to my wrist. Rather spend the extra dollars and buy the Apple one that I know has been tested.

If you order a band from Fantec, I'd be curious to know if it really is as flush as they show in their Amazon close up side shot photo. Also they show the side section being flat and smooth. My silicone bands have a ridge in comparison and are not completely flush with the metal. Both things I've seen others comment on for knockoffs.
The FanTEK bands came in. Took about a month (they came from China) - obviously, looking to save $, I opted for the cheapest snail mail shipping.
Really impressed with these bands! Lordofthereef pointed them out.
Posted pics over here of the two: https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...d-strap-thread.1866289/page-130#post-23682380

The connectors fit absolutely perfectly flush! :)

Thanks for the feedback. Apart from the quality of the Apple Sport bands and not being lint magnets, I do like that I get a second length of strap from Apple. I know some 3rd parties offer a third strap. DH will sometimes borrow my watch when he goes walking or hiking and we actually make use of the different straps having wrists that are different enough. I just got an Apple Cocoa today but if in the market for a band color Apple doesn't make, will revisit Fantek. Would be interested to a follow up down the road after wearing it for 6 months or so.

Personally I see third parties offering different colors than Apple as being a bigger draw but maybe people just want copies to look like they bought a more expensive band. Never motivated me in that regard and guess I'm more inclined to have something coordinate better and be unique. My leather and metal bands on the other hand, with the exception of my black classic Apple leather that came with my watch, are all third parties on adapters. Somehow I just keep favoring the fluoroelastomer material for the sport though. Having bought bands since the AW first came out I'm kind of banded out right now if you know what I mean. Still switch off, and love the ability, but recognize that many don't get worn much.

That's insane especially since this one is available http://www.ebay.com/itm/222402388923

I've been watching 1shopdirects sales for weeks and they claim they are genuine. I messaged them yesterday to double check as their prices are too good to be true.

They stated:

"Hello,

Thank you for your message. This is an authentic item and not a 3rd party item. It is also brand new and has not been opened.

Hope all is well.

Best Regards,"

Good grammar, but the best regards throws up a red flag as does the use of stock photos. This orange band must've just been posted up, as they were only selling a few other colors over the past weeks. Orange is a new one. And as far as I'm concerned, sellers lose credibility with me when they can't take the time to show pics of their actual items. Lately I've been buying on eBay from personal sellers, with real photos for a little bit more.

Walmart.com uses reseller "1ShopDirect" for sales of Apple Bands. I wonder if they are the same company. If so, that would guarantee they are genuine. What's wrong with 'Best Regards'?

I'm sure it's the same seller. And, like Amazon, I think third party stores use Amazon as a vehicle to sell their goods. They are responsible for shipping, they are just selling it on their website.

And no American uses the term "best regards" in every day language. It's a we'll known term used by scammers through emails. Which is why I said it raises red flags.

I bought an orange one from them a couple weeks ago. The box was a bit dusty, but it was still sealed and authentic. I think you're overthinking things.

Yea I read their reviews and pulled the trigger. Surprised they can sell them that low. Guess they make enough above their wholesale costs they can afford to sell them heavy discounted and still come out ahead. They have sold dozens of bands. I guess I'd rather sell 60 bands at $15 profit than 10 bands at full boat. Win win for buyer/seller.

Loving mine. Couldn't believe how quickly it showed up. Took two days. Ordered through Walmart Thursday and showed up Saturday. Free shipping.

Royal blue, doubt it. Yellow pops up on eBay from time to time at that price.

I picked up a Royal Blue band on eBay for $16. It was considered "used" but looked brand new to me. It was sold as an Ocean Blue band, but it was certainly not that color when it arrived. Because the seller sent the wrong item, they gave me $5 back.

I also got an Orange band from the same seller...same "used" but new condition. Neither one were in retail packaging, but both genuine Apple bands.

Congratulations. I am searching eBay and other sites in hopes of finding both the yellow and royal blue bands in 42mm. I really would like to have the royal blue though.
