Who can be more embarrassing than me?

I’m coming from a 2008 iMac!

I’ve almost pushed the button on numerous occasions, but just never bothered. However, these new M1 Macs look solid.

So, what system are you coming from?

I had a mid 2012 Macbook Pro. Finally decided to upgrade.

So far, it has exceeded my expectations.
Glad you’re happy with your upgrade.

It’ll be nice to finally have an up to date version of MacOS running!

Have loved my iMac, but it’s time. I just hope the 13” MBP screen will not seem too small when coming from a 24” iMac.

I had a 2019 16” MacBook Pro i9 which I sold a couple of months ago expecting the ARM MacBook release and had been using my older 2017 12” MacBook as my everyday system until my MBA arrived 10 days ago. I must say, the new Air (16GB/1TB model) feels speedier/as speedy than the 16” MBP, even in the Adobe apps opening the same files. Everyday tasks are much more responsive, especially multitasking. A few quirks, like Lightroom breaking for me with the newest Big Sur beta, but otherwise this might be my favourite Mac in years.

I was worried about the display size also, but it hasn't been a problem. I had a 15" retina display on the 2012 MBP. I am using my Nenq 27" now and I run the M1 MBP in clamshell mode. I don't even think about the display difference. When I start traveling again I think the 13" will be more convenient.

Some people (Everyday Dad, for example) say that the 13” is the perfect size MacBook.

Pleased you’re happy with your decision.

I don’t think I’ve heard a bad word said about these new M1 MacBooks.

I'll be getting an M1 MBA or MBP (probably the latter) to replace my late 2013 MBP - the best computer I've ever owned, but starting to show it's age when presented with any kind of heavy workload.
When will you be upgrading?

2011 MBA to M1 MBA. Believe it or not that old one is still very quick, with only one app open. Anything more than that the fan will come out full like a jet engine.

My wife’s 2011 MBP still going strong though.

A 2009 iMac 27" to an M1 Mac Mini with a 32" inch monitor. Already got the monitor but the Mac Mini should arrive in a week or two.

BTW, I'm a Stone Island guy too.
