Mine is still stuck on arrival at Louisville, anyone else in the same boat? Coming to Calgary.

Edit: Been in Louisville since the 4th

OK now, this is weird. I just checked my account online and my credit card was charged the $8 for the expedited shipping on Nov 1st. But nothing else. Np charge for the ipad or the pencil. Apparently I'm the only one here with delivery 13-16 that hasn't been charged yet.!!!

Anybody else from VA?

My iPad and Pencil have departed Louisville since 4 hours ago but no update yet. It should be in my area by now going by my past Apple order records. I’m guessing it’s just not updating yet.

Really sad I can’t pick up my new toys until after work (first world problem, I know)

Mine is in Sylmar, CA. That's the nearest sorting center and truck deployment to me, AND customer counter (20-25 mins).

I switched my delivery to "hold at customer center".

That way, I can get it when they open tomorrow instead of waiting for the truck to deliver (usually late afternoon).

My iPad Pro will be here Friday! I don’t know about the pencil or case I ordered. According to Apple’s status page they are both scheduled for delivery next week. I may check store stock tomorrow for the pencil and case.

I should be sleep!

Mine from the Nov 13-16 window has shipped, I have the tracking, & it says Thursday, Nov 8th on both the Apple & UPS sites. I paid the $8 for expedited shipping when I placed the order.

What size iPad? Mine is 12.9, 1TB, WiFi & Cellular - delivery is 12-15. Still showing in progress :-(

Just got my 12.9 a few hours ago. First impressions:

  1. Arrived with a bunch of dirt marks on it, beneath the wrapping. There is also a paint chip on the top left corner. Apple’s QC has gone down the toilet in recent years. They offered to do a replacement, but will take several weeks as the 1TB model is back ordered. Not an option for this busy travel season. I had similar issues with a Black Magic Mouse and my iPhone XS Max.
  2. Screen is slightly visible better than the iPad Pro 10.5”, I feel that it’s much closer to OLED in terms of contrast etc.
  3. New pencil feels great. Texture is amazing and double tap works really well as you can double tap anywhere.
  4. Magnets on new pencil could be stronger in my opinion, but it wouldn’t feel very Apple that way.
  5. Video playback apps (YouTube, Infuse etc.) need to be updated as the status bar is showing persistently. I was hoping I wouldn’t have to go through waiting for some UI refresh issues with the 12.9”, but seems like this isn’t the case.
  6. Keyboard cover - Same old keyboard but much more lap-able. I’m typing this out on my lap right now. A bit wobbly on the top end though.
  7. Design - Feels a lot more holdable with one hand compared to the original. Camera bump is HUGE.

Can you run Geekbench and see how much ram you have?

Edit: oops just realized you have 1TB. Nevermind then.

Good idea. Thank you!!!

No. I am actually scheduled for delivery 13-16. If they would at least charge my card, I'd feel much better.
Mine was scheduled for 13-16th, but I got an email this morning saying my iPad will be delivered Friday, the 9th. My other things, the next week unless something awesome happens. I might check the store stock tomorrow.

That’s too bad about the dirt and chip and all. Will you be exchanging it or returning it?

Ahhh, what do we have here...
As I write this I am using my new 11” iPad Pro. I have only had a half an hour play or so but things I have noticed thus far:
- Very light
- Love the new form factor and the larger screen inside the same dimensions as the old 10.5”
- Screen is beautiful
- Face ID works a treat
- Speakers are much improved & louder
- Not many apps have yet redesigned their UI for the 11” screen (expected at this early stage)
- web browsing, emails etc seem a little faster then the 10.5” however not very noticeable and I am yet to really push its boundaries
- New Smart Keyboard, I am not yet sold. Feels no better on the lap typing then my old 10.5’” ASK. I feel the keys from the keyboard that rest on the screen may actually scratch the screen (especially over time when the keyboard gets a little dirty..)
I also do not like having the keyboard at the back of the iPad when holding it free-hand and not using any type of stand. I feel as tho I need to take the iPad off the keyboard to use it by itself (unlike the 10.5”)
- USB C is a welcomed editionn, especially working with my 15” MBP & also LG Ultrafine monitor

I’ll add more once as I keep playing around with the new toy!

If you have a kitchen scale, can you weigh the keyboard and report back?
