Ok, but I'm quite positive that wasn't the case at all. I tried digging up the emails from last year for my phone and my watch to compare against UPS dates and couldn't find the email for my phone but my watch was updated to shipped before it got to the states. I would think that I would remember this if it were the case.
That's the site I'm using. Just plug in airports and filter down to UPS only to get flight data.
Who knows for sure. I found my shipping email for the X, says Shipped on November 2nd 2017, to arrive November 3rd. But I tracked it from China.
Speaking of tips... I noticed in the "What's in the Box" for the new Pencil it doesn't mention any extra tips.
I just looked at my watch email last year again. I looked at the wrong date on it. Got the email on the 21st of September for delivery the 22nd. So if the status didn't update until I got that email then the same thing happened with my watch last year. For the life of me I do not remember the status taking that long to update on Apple's end.
Same happened this year with the phones. It only updates when it enters the states which is more or less the night before. I wouldnt expect apple to update until likely tuesday, monday if we're lucky. My XS Max updated on the 20th this year for 21st deliver but i was following starting on the 16th.
Not yet for my orders here in germany.
Im pretty sure that they are shipped to czech or netherlands first and will be shipper seperately from there.. dont expect delievery details before monday..
edit: the apple pencil order is now prepare for shipment
I'm in Belgium and my pencil went from processing to preparing for shipment about 2 hours ago. iPad still processing though..
Yes. The material is the same as my current 2015 IPP Smart Cover. Same grey too.
UK - Pencil is now preparing to ship but I have 8 Nov for delivery for that.
iPad and Keyboard still processing with 7th Nov delivery.
Apple always deliver pre-orders for release day on release day it that’s what it said so I wouldn’t worry about not being charged yet.

Or maybe Apple have given UPS the OK to ship the packages as quickly as possible to avoid the strike.
The pencil will likely arrive before 8th. They send it by Royal Mail with no signature required. If it’s anything like my folio cover, it will arrive the day after it ships. I ordered the cover on Tuesday, it shipped on Thursday and arrived Friday. Yet Apple order status still says it’s still in transit and will be delivered next Wednesday.
I did that for a package recently thinking it would be available sooner but no they actually delivered it there after they would normally deliver to our house, was not happy.
The best way to check is via UPS tracking. Apple shows my iPP and Pencil preparing to ship, but according to UPS it already has. My folio case will come today.
