Same for me on my macbook 3,1. I get the crossed circle on El Capitan while installing from usb stick, and it's the only mac I have, so I'll have to try with a external hdd. Can it be an .app related trouble? Because I haven't been able to find the 10.11.0 version.

You should better try with FireWire external drive or with internal drive, as It seems some older Macs have not supported USB ports...
[doublepost=1477852376][/doublepost]
Try to install OSX 10.11 El Capitan via FireWire or a replaced HDD, since USB isn't working out-of-the-box in OSX 10.11 on older unsupported Macs.
Is it not possible to add some kext-s to provide USB support?

Almost working...
Installed El Capitan through VM on Macmini 2,1
AutoDmg it
Restored on new partition

Which led me to be able to go to the installer menu
But no USB, so installed Rehabman's USBinjectall and fakepciid
https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Fake-PCI-ID
https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-USB-Inject-All (all credit and copyright to Rehabman)

USB and all the rest is functional. I even removed those kexts and USB was still working.

Only issue, KPs after 15-30 seconds of use. Initially on
System uptime in nanoseconds: 135070116768
last loaded kext at 33842408104: com.apple.driver.AudioAUUC 1.70 (addr 0xffffff7f98f71000, size 28672)
last unloaded kext at 123159778124: com.apple.driver.AppleXsanScheme 3 (addr 0xffffff7f987d8000, size 40960)

So I removed the audio driver, then on the magic track pad kext then on another, etc...
Apparently coming from something in the Kernel, but my knowledge stops there.

In a nutshell, I can boot EC on the Macmini on GMA950 with SL kexts, move my mouse, use KB, but not stay there for very long until next reboot :(

Ideas ?
Hi.
Can you please explain a bit more how did you install through VM? Have you managed to have your system stable in the mean time?
Thank you

Hi,
I have a problem. I can't get trough 'Waiting for your click on skip ad' in Macpostfactor. After I click skip ad, there's white space, and nothing else. Is there a solution?

Thanks.

I've heard there is partial graphic acceleration on El Capitan for the gma X3100 by using kexts
Is it like the partial graphics acceleration from Mavericks (enough for me) or way lower?

macOS Extractor 1.4.1 has been released with minor bug fixes including corrected resource reference to renamed package. Be advised: This means that older versions of the Extractor Installer is depreciated and will not download the correct packages during installation.
The AutoPatch Feature will do most of the work that we use to require in the post 1 tutorial so there will be less steps.
From many support requests,I am recoding the OS X Hackers App and addressing OS X 10.7 compatibility issues. It is not available in this build.

Basically the same as Mavericks except I don't know if the Brightness app was compatible with Mav.
[doublepost=1477920097][/doublepost]Post 1 has been updated. @skyfly555, you can add your two methods in post 1 if you like. This is a wiki thread.

I've looked through the logs and found some errors.
  1. installer: Error the package path specified was invalid: '/tmp/rMCPF/hacking_datas/RecoveryDiskMethod/extract.mpkg'.
  2. /Volumes/BS/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist: file does not exist or is not readable or is not a regular file
Throughout all of the logs, MCPF seems to get stuck at (installer:%97.750000)
I've contacted the devs and I've had no reply yet. But I'm pretty sure they are aware of the problem. But I'm not sure they have logs.

I've had the same issue. I contacted them a few weeks ago with similar results, and 4 sets of logs (from over 4 attempts). It's quite strange:

- When I attempt a local installation (on the same HHD - no matter the partition), the installer goes until 97.75% before croaking with Error Code 1. It doesn't even get to the point of a reboot attempt, and claims that it left no logs on the Desktop - only for me to find them. They stop @ 97.75% before reporting failure - and not giving the specific reason.
- When I attempt a USB install (external Volume), it does one of two things after it finishes creating the installer volume:
- Reboots into the installer, only to report that it could not install the System (after a good deal of time of showing the blue progress bar).
- Reboots into the installer, only to stop unexpectedly a few minutes after it begins installing the System (while showing the blue progress bar).

With the second case, the installer didn't leave an error code or message. The screen goes black, and the Macbook reboots again, stating that my Macbook 'restarted because it ran into a problem'. With both (external Volume) cases, I have no accurate indication of how far the installation has gone before it bails.

I'm using a black Macbook 4,1, with GMA X3100 graphics and 2 GB of RAM. It's already running Yosemite 10.10.5. I'm using the latest version of MPF for all of these attempts. The successful attempt with Yosemite was done using MPF version 1. Should I revert the System to Lion 10.7.5 and try one more time?

Ok, I've tried 2 things that can help. One of them is removing recovery partition and the other one is intalling rEFInd.

I have the same problem when installing from usb
the installation begins, then next to the cursor appear glitches, and mac restarts
It's curious, because using the same method for Yosemite works, but with El Capitan there's no way
EDIT: I've just tried this, after deleting PlatformSupport.plist, it boots into the select country window, but keyboard, trackpad and usb keyboard and mouse don't work. I know it isn't frozen because if I press power button the turn off menu appears.
I've also tried with unibeast, but same result, keyboard and trackpad not working. Maybe if anyone could give us an unsupported Macbook Macintosh HD image with El Capitan installed it would work

that's because usb is not being recognized. try using the rehabman kexts. install it via other system.

Good.
I have problems with the SIP decryption on my Macbook 4.1. USB does not work. Could clarify how to do it.

Another question: Can MAC OS X EXTRACTOR be used in MAC OS X 10.8.4? And can you use MacPostFactor V.2.0.1 for MacBook 4.1?

USB does not work.

The internal Input-devices don't work out-of-the-box because of the new USB-Stack in OSX 10.11 El Capitan. You could try the USB-Kexts (by TMRJIJ - OS X Hackers) or USB-Inject-All (by RehabMan) or a Hardware-solution* via miniPCIe-to-USB3 adapter (WiFi-Card replaced), USB3-ExpressCard34 (MacBook Pro 2,x) or try to run VNC.

*better with ASMedia ASM1042a or Fresco Logic FL1100 chipset (native drivers included in 10.11)

Finally it worked!!
This is what I did (MacBook 3,1)
-Install el capitan via UniBeast
-Run it with the unibeast efi (trackpad and everything work because the system thinks you are on a supported iMac)
- Install the "USB kexts" from the previous post (I use kext utility)
- Boot lion on another partition (standard way), copy the board id and model number and added them to El Capitan's PlatformSupport.plist (Onto System/Library/CoreServices, System is hidden, so I used disAppear to show it, if you can access using double click use left click and open in new finder tab)
- Reboot holding alt key, boot el capitan from the native macbook boot menu, everything should work now

It even recognizes my gma X3100 after installing a kext

HI
Can you explain a bit more? When did you install USB kexts? After a successful boot of El Capitan after installation from UniBeast USB stick? If yes, why do you the steps starting with "Boot lion...."?
Did you replace the unibeast efi files?

Did you replace the unibeast efi files?
1-Install El Capitan with unibeast on another partition on the hdd apart from your working system (in my case it was lion)
2- Hold alt during startup after reboot and boot your " efi" partition on your unibeast usb stick, unibeast boot manager will show up
3- In that menu, boot el capitan recovery, open terminal and disable SIP
3-Reboot your mac, go again into unibeast boot manager and boot el capitan from there, usb, trackpad and keyboard should work because unibeast makes el capitan think you are on a supported Mac.
4.-Install the usb kexts (TMRJIJ) with kext utility, this way el capitan will recognize usb, trackpad and keyboard when booted from the standard way
5.-Reboot into your working system, show hidden files in finder, open in finder el capitan partition's PlataformSupport.plist (System/Library/CoreServices) and modify it replacing the last line of the board id and the model with your mac's board id and model (you can also try deleting the file), this will avoid the crossed circle when booting el capitan from apple's native bootmanager (alt during startup).
6.Boot el capitan and enjoy

Every time you update el capitan you need to repeat the proccess (I'm currently on 10.11.6)

Will this work with 32bit efi? Or am I better off using a supported mac, using pikes 32 bit efi and trying to boot on my pro 2,1
