Not sure about all the folks posting that CS5 and CS6 application won't work because of the Java message!? Downloaded the older Java 6 from Apple, installed, and all my older CS Apps are working fine!

In eyetv I had to turn off "overscan" to stop the the live tv windows from jumping to other displays erratically, and to get the live tv windows resizable again, and to return eyetv's cpu usage back to normal.

(Edit) the above workaround didn't work too long. But downloading an older version of eyetv from Elgato fixed it all. Eyetv 3.6.5 (7310).

(Edit) Eyetv 3.6.5 only worked fine for two days. It's now doing the same three problems too.

(Edit) Eyetv is fine for me now. Both versions just started working fine all by themselves starting about 5 days ago.

Can anyone report on Sketchup (pro) and AutoCAD 2015 (mac version)?

SketchUp Pro 2015 for Mac works well; Autodesk AutoCAD for Mac 2015 crashes: no way to start. I reinstalled the app and now it is all OK. Talking about 3D/CAD, Rhinoceros for Mac and Blender 2.75, both are OK.

Edit!:
Autodesk AutoCAD for Mac 2015 crashes again, simply editing a text object. For now I use "AutoCAD Mandalore Beta 2" (the 2016 beta version) instead.

Levelator, a powerful tool for recording, which compresses and normalizes automatically, doesn't work in the El Capitan betas (through the Public Beta and beta 3).

Unfortunately, the developers stopped working on it a while back, but I suppose someone who cares might find a way to fix it. I hope.

Gene, not sure if you've found an alternative to Levelator, but here's a hack to get it working in El Cap. I haven't tried it myself ... too afraid to upgrade my production machine!

Let me know if you've found a Levelator replacement. This hack might work for now, but I think Levelators days are definitely numbered.

That's a lower version, wouldn't I need to uninstall and re-install?

EDIT: Oh I see. I'm on a "release candidate" and that's a stable build. Why would they give release candidates to people who install from dropbox.com?

On a clean install of the general release. Handbrake with libdvdcss no longer works. libdvd errors out on install, saying it is not compatible with El Capitan. So, no more backing up your DVD's. You think they will get this fixed?

Same problem here. I tried dropping libdvdcss.2.dylib into /usr/lib but was denied permission even with sudo and chmod attempts.

I hope they will get this fixed soon.

working fine here. kernel panics? are you playing thru a usb interface? try unplugging any peripherals, see what happens. never had any issues with spotify...

The fix for this is to put libdvdcss into /usr/local/lib manually. SIP (System Integrity Protection) is what's stopping you from modifying /usr/lib. Fortunately HandBrake knows to look in multiple places for the library.

Unfortunately, that doesn't work. When I re-check the Enable box, the white overlay appears on top of the geeklets.

Uncheck the 'Default Group' and check it again. Everything appears, only still on a white background. Least you can do some editing.

I did this and seemed to stop the auto camera upload when plugging iPhone in and then getting stuck on uploading.

Not sure if right place but after updating to EC, this App Update appeared in App Store.

Wanted me to update an old iphoto version from March that aided in transferring photos to new iPhoto Library in Yosemite. Does it matter to update or how do you delete it.
