Nah?! I see it now (I had to google it! :D). They claim 64 bits kext fully working (thus with 64 bits kernel, I suppose)? That would go beyond my imagination. I gave up on that idea already.

I only hope he is not using some modified boot.efi with 32bit kexts

Well, according to the various tweets they had even ML working with the 64 bits kexts. Then Mavericks. The problem is WindowServer crashing. I just wonder how they fixed the sleep/wake and brightness!! If such is the case, sure.

Multiple monitors on GM version

Hi,

I'm experiencing a little problem with my 3 displays.
Have installed 2 nVidia GT610 under Mavericks.
After I found some Kexts, OS X 10.9.3 was running with my 3 screens working just great.

But now, under Yosemite, it's really a mess.
Got 2 screens and now only one works, though both GC are recognized.

I'm running Yosemite final release, not a beta.

Anyone has an idea ?

{UPDATE}

1 card removed...
So now 2 screens working on the left card...
Seems that Yosemite, at least on my machine, does not handle 2 cards so well...

Anyone knows a PC card with 3 ports ( 2 DVI, 1 VGA) that would work on my MacPro2,1 ?

Thanks

Even us with buggy kext are able to run yosemite, mavericks and mountain lion @64 bit, the issue is graphics acceleration, if they reach the goal at my eyes they are gods :D

Try asking in the Mac Pro sub-forum :)

A few days ago, I was looking at Wayne's latest posts and I saw Wayne's yosemite test thread with my own eyes. But now it seems he took it down. But in the test thread, he mentioned that there was still no graphics acceleration.

Test thread here at macrumors?

Yes, it was about a week ago maybe. From the picture tutorial, the UI looked really professional. And the process looked simple too.

Well, after this answer I don't know what is going to release for GMAs

If it is the ML DP1 kernel forget about it. I'd stick with my sleepless installation!! :D

hope he handcoded something, I don't think that using tiamo's or pikeralpha's boot.efi will do the job

edit: here is the response http://cl.ly/YEyp ... don't know how he is figuring out this to work

Not ML kernel. Previously, Kelian succeeded running an Mavericks INSTALLATION system with the ML kernel. But he said he couldn't make use of it in general

P.S. For people here who were using OSXHackers.tk . . . we have a web traffic jam
But seriously though, this site is built on limited bandwidth shared servers not on my Johnson Network Servers. Don't camp there. There is no point conversing there if MCPF doesn't come until later in the week and the forum is still gimp.

The lack of the Kernel in /System/Library/Kernels/ causes the error. I've extracted the Kernel with Pacifist 3.2.14.

Every step from Post #2 is necessary to make a patched Installer for Yosemite. Yosemite ≠ Mavericks.

The Boot.efi depends on your Mac model - stock Apple for EFI64, Tiamo's for EFI32 with Mountain Lion/Mavericks and Pike's for EFI32 with Yosemite (works mostly with Mountain Lion/Mavericks too).

A new Yosemite-compatible SFOTT-version is now available from Oemden.

thanks atvusr

Then what is it? Don't tell me they compiled the Yosemite kernel at 32 bits. I wonder if it is even possible to compile it, let alone the bugs it would suffer.

Arrandale CPUS has HD Graphics only.
First architecture that has HD3000 is sandy bridge.
So, you are saying that Merom GPU could be used with modded extensions for Sandy Bridge HD3000?

I'm saying this just iphotetically

using framebuffer from gma 64 bits kext to push data(?) to hd3000 kext is what I have in mind, don't know and don't have the knowledge to make this work
