OMG! I had no idea this key combo was a thing! I've always wanted a button or key combo on my mac that would take me to the end of a sentence. On a Windows PC I would use the END key, this is genius!!! lol. Thank you!You can press ctrl-e to jump at the end of the textfield.
You can use the End key on the Mac as well (provided you have a full-size keyboard). But it's still annoying. That text entry field should be nearly the full width of the dialog box, regardless of how small or large you have it sized.OMG! I had no idea this key combo was a thing! Woohoo! Downloading and installing the update now! This issue has (*finally) been fixed by Apple with the release of macOS Big Sur 11.3. FYI.
And introduced new bugs with Textedit…Yep, 11.3 finally fixed this issue…
To be honest, I didn't even notice the size of the entry box until the last week or so when I started noticing people complaining about it here in the forums. Now I'm noticing just how annoying it is. I regularly have to edit numbers at the end of existing file names and it's become a pain in the behind having to click in the box, hit the End button, then make a selection to change the numbers.File name field still too small.
