My entry for this week was shot with the 14 pro during the bike ride this morning.
Great job!My entry for today. Miniature rose. Keep in mind that this rose bud is about the size of my thumbnail.

With my trusty Tamron 90mm...
Ummm...no archive photos, Ken! Shame, shame, shame.I am going to submit This one. It is not really a “close up” per se. It is a close zoom in capture of the surface of ElCapitan in Yosemite.

Busted! Sorry boss….. will try againGreat job!
Well this is definitely an original approach! But it is quite clever seeing all the individual pixels.
Love how you are sticking with this project.
So many neat patterns! Many of which are forgettable by normal vision, but turn into something fun with macro.
This is a great way to do this challenge if you don't have a true macro. Next time watch your shutter speed and don't be afraid to up your ISO - you have a bit of camera shake from the slower SS. ❤️
So interesting to see macros from you; very different. My favorite is the third one.

The ladybird shot is superb! Here we go. All shot today, Mon. 2/27/2023, on my iPhone 13PM.

As I got caught being lazy, using a close up shot from archives. Mea Culpa. I posted that in a panic as I was about to run out of the time window and didnt have access to this one which I took for this P52 task.
So, here is a macro shot of a flake of Maldon Seasalt (as it is typically flakes of salt not grains) that I took - very recently. It was taken from directly above with a single diffused speedlight off to the side. I should have focus stacked it as the tip is not in focus but I was astonished at the over all level of detail achieved.

@mollyc first of all, your macro shots are magnificent! After this week’s challenge, I admire them even more, as it is by no means easy to get the focus, the light, and the background right! Thanks for sharing.
I myself don’t shoot a lot of macro (I think the last time was in my photography class back in high school), so I got inspired by your lovely pictures and played around with my camera and some flowers in the garden. I don’t own any special macro gear (except my phone’s macro mode) and so I just got as close to the subject as possible and came up with these photos. It was surprisingly difficult for me to find a calm and non-destructing background – but probably a dedicated macro lens or at least an adapter might help with this one. Nevertheless, I’m very happy with my results. CC is welcome.
All in all, it was a great challenge this week, and it seems like spring has arrived!
