Oh wow, this may throw off our order number theory....

For curiosity, I just tried adding an iphone X for a separate Apple ID in the Apple Store app shopping cart, says ships in 3-4 weeks and currently unavailable for pickup at store near me. I guess that makes me feel a little better..... just a little.....

Of course I check soon after posting this, and getting the Preparing to Ship notification now! Finally!!!!

Looks like number theory is out the window, especially if it's a carrier thing. I'm also AT&T. And here I was hoping we were close...
 
Still no charge to credit card.
still showing 17-24 with Order in Progress.
Order placed 12:23 PT. OIP since day 1.
 
The status of my order has now changed to
Status Shipment In Transit - Delayed
When I check UPS it appears:

The package is awaiting clearing agency review. / The package is at the clearing agency awaiting final release.

This hasn´t changed since yesterday morning.

UPDATE: Silver is on it's way (UPS says it will arrive this Friday 10), my Space Grey still delayed and no movement since yesterday morning, really strange.

How accurate is the delivery date on UPS? Mine had an arrival scan in ZhengZhou this morning, and says it will be delivered 11/13.
 
Sure is irritating not to have any movement whatsoever. I know it’s not beyond Apple’s committed delivery...but I just want the device!!
 
There's still quite a number of people discussing their OIP statuses, however I do understand the need for another thread. Had no idea that thing would string along as it did.

As of 1:30 EST my CC was charged and status was changed to Preparing for Shipment. No date bump, but a status change nonetheless.

Yea, my UPS tracking said it would deliver Friday - just checked now and its been updated that it will now deliver on Tuesday the 14th. I am hoping that it updates again...was looking forward to playing around with it this weekend.
 
My status changed to shipped too -- awaiting clearance for an 11/20 delivery. Was hoping for sooner, but it is what it is!
 
Wooohh mine just changed to "Preparing to ship", any idea how long it will take from PTS till it will actually arrive? Any correlation found yet?

Do you have to have a Verizon account to purchase and reserve? I don’t have a Verizon account, and when I tried to make the purchase, Apple required Verizon account info.

Yes, I had to provide my Verizon billing pin for some reason and Apple had to connect to the Carrier to complete the purchase even though I was paying in full. This is where my order stalled at 3:15am and I got the dreaded “we will hold your place in line while we try to connect to the carrier and email you when it is time to complete your order”. I have seen on this forum though where people with other carriers were ordering Verizon phones some how.

those who have received their iphone x's or whose phones are on the way, can you please confirm what is the average number of days that it takes from your order changing to Preparing for shipment to being delivered to your doorstep? 4-5 days? less? more?
