Still no change. Checked on Apple, no stock in the 11 stores around me (metro Boston). Holding steady with my OIP.

Ordered 1 Space Grey and 1 Silver 256 iPhone X, they just changed it's status to Preparing to Ship. Delivery date hasn't changed though.

Hi, they charged me 3 hours ago, 256GB Tmo (No Iup). Still 17-24 Nov but now it says Preparing for Shipment :)

What time did you place your order? I placed mine at 12:20 AM PT, received email right away. order hasnt budged, no charge to cc and Apple rep said i would likely see movement a few days before the 17th since as per her, the "preparing to ship" stage tooks 2 days and then the item is shipped so in order to meet the 17-24 timeline, i would probably incur a charge around the 13th or so, a good week from now.

Still no change for me. “Order in process....” seeing all these stories of people now just walking into stores and getting what they want makes our current situation even more infuriating. I should probably just try the same but part of me is just too stubborn and wants to ride out this horrible experience for principle. I am definitely going to rethink what I do next launch. Ridiculous.

I told myself I wouldn't care to get it on launch day, and then everyone started getting theirs on launch day and I became jealous. My current plan is to get this one so I'm updated from my ancient iPhone 6 so I'm on board, and then next year probably just sell it back and get on the IUP train when the dust somewhat settles. If I wasn't so desperate for an upgrade I wouldn't care about my wait, but my 6 is crawling.

My advice: If you really want it now, hunt it down and get it in a store. If you don't mind waiting a week, I am sure it will be delivered through the preorder. It's not like you have a date in December, and Apple almost always beats their conservative promised delivery date, and at the worst, makes the promised date.

My iPhones now have shipped, they both have an estimated delivery date of November 15th now. Each phone has it's own UPS tracking info.

Yeah, I definitely don't need it now and won't hunt one down (all 11 stores around me have zero stock anyway). I'll wait patiently, especially now that people in this particular thread are starting to see some action.

My question is, did the CC charge come first and then the order/shipping update?

Pick up mine on Saturday at a store.... Have a feeling pre orders will be limited in future launch, because Apple will start saving more phones for “in store purchase” Apple probably want more store traffic and get us in the store to purchase other things beside the phone.

Charged the other, 256 TMo.... and the silver 64 TMo say delivery on 15th!

BTW... the first say at UPS site; "The package is awaiting clearing agency review. / The package is at the clearing agency awaiting final release. "

UPDATE: The order charged yesterday now is delivery:

Order time? Would you please post the first 3 digits of your order number? (After de W)

W580. The e-mail came in at 3:26, but I believe it was well before that as I ordered and was back in bed sleeping before I received anything. I've been saying it's around 3:15 due to my struggles with the app.

AT&T paid in full 256 Space Gray. No credit card charge, “Order in Progress”, order W495xxxxxx. No phones in stock nearby. Waiting somewhat impatiently. Still in 17-24.
