PLOT TWIST. Had 64GB AT&T X preordered for 11/17-11/24 delivery. Took a chance and went to AT&T this morning, I was told no AT&T in the state of Connecticut has an iPhone X. My boyfriend’s brother works at a Verizon, mentioned there was one 256GB silver left. Hopped in my car, drove an hour, switched carriers, and got my iPhone. BYE AT&T!

Took a chance on the Stonestown Apple Store here in SF, since I assumed Union Square would be a circus, and had no trouble just picking up a phone with very little wait. Canceled by online order, which of course had still seen no movement. On the one hand, the online experience was odd this year, but I’m impressed by the in-store availability on launch day.

Oh, and the phone is very impressive so far!

My update: I cancelled my order for T-Mobile Silver 256GB (Paid In Full). The shipping date never changed.

I walked into the Apple Store in Altamonte Mall (Orlando) and bought a Verizon 256GB Silver, and I'm using it now.

The wait at 2PM was maybe 30 minutes?

Either we wait in the next couple of days or head out to a local store and see if one is available for purchase.

I just called the local Apple store in the morning and asked how bad the line was and what was in stock. They said line was 4 hours long and they could not say what they had in stock, still I took a chance and went to the store the line was bad but they had the phones in stock, so I ended up waiting for 3 hours but got two iPhone X 64gb gray.

My two cents if you want to go to the store tomorrow they might have it stock. Just try your luck.

slate 256gb ATT payed in full
Nov 17th-24th
no movement no charge

normally unlocked phones are available a couple weeks after launch, att and tmobile people who payed in full get an unlocked phone, im sure they are prioritizing IUP because of pressure from carriers or it's just more profitable in the long run for them

just wish we knew ahead of time, i think well get bumped eventually to Nov 10th

it could be worse, iphone 6 preorders went live at 12:45, and i had walk uphill both ways to pick it up in the store

No my friend all the phones that you buy at full price are unlocked. I had the chance to chat with the Apple tech at the store for 3 hours as I was in the line and asked him all the questions. Just she different is between CDMA AND GSM. That said Att and T-Mobile will work will all models. Verizon and sprint will only work with CDMA bands.

Went to Target this morning where they had about 6 iPhones available. Bought the Space Grey 256GB. Target has the Qualcomm version so I guess it's factory unlocked? I'm not sure. Either way, I canceled my online order. I may continue to go the Target route if it's as easy as it was today

On the bright side, at least they will guarantee that week. By looking at our order number...it's going to be a long time to get to w5xxxxxxx

any updates on my boys?!
No changes here.. Thinking of trying the reserve for pickup option that is supposed to be going on tomorrow. Anybody know if I'll run into an error since I have the order placed already? There has been no charge or anything on my card.
