learning to use ssh on any jailbroken device is very helpful, but do what you feel is best/ are comfortable with.

I agree. If there was a great step by step of how to SSH Cydia and the substrate I would probably do it, but I haven't found one that has all the laid out instructions easy to read.

I might not be looking hard enough though

Thanks. So, do I just need to install that piece of software and then immediately upgrade it to today's version, or do I have to install Cydia, too?

If you are asking this, then you should wait until the non-developer version is released and cydia is already installed.

Updated mine through the pangu app on my iphone. I took off my touchid/passcode off first. It rebooted. Tested out some of the tweaks and they were working without the need to respring. I can also send pictures on messages now. Safari doesnt crash anymore either. Just too scared to leave my passcode and reboot and get stuck on apple logo. Someone else try that out :)

It's not a Pangu issue, it's a Cydia issue with the passcode. But there is an easy fix.

I did the cydia touchid/password fix a couple of days ago and just applied the pangu update and everything works great. Left my password and touchid enabled and it rebooted fine

Great.
So looks like it's only a matter of time till things get fixed and everything packaged into a single jb program that should install cydia and fix all issues.

Jailbroken, installed Cydia using the AutoInstall folder method. Would I need to install Cydia Sunstrate separately after this?

TIA

Does anyone know if Robert Brogila's emulators work on this new jailbreak?

I bought them previously so I am certain I can redownload them but wondering if anyone else has and if they are compatible.

Also does retroarch work? Or Mame4ios?

Thanks!

Yes via Cydia itself

This is weird! Phone bootloops without anything installed. No extensions, no nothing. Just Cydia Substrate. And no, I dont have Passcode/Find My Phone/ TouchID enabled. Only boots when I keep the Vol+ pressed

Uninstalling Cydia Substrate fixes the issue. Reinstalling brings it back. Any suggestions?

Same thing here. Uninstalled substrate and it's booting OK again, loops however with substrate installed. (unless I do volume+) and also no tweaks, etc installed here either.

Just got my 6 after ordering on Sept 23rd.

Set it up, now updating to 8.1. Left TouchID, iCloud, FindmyiPhone, and passcode off for now. Have to use my jailbroken 5 to use wifi, so my sim card is staying in my 5 till I get this thing jailbroken.

Going to install Pangu through Wine, then update it to .02. Then from there I'm going to install Cydia through Cyberduck on my mbp, but before opening it, do the move.sh fix so I will be able to use TouchID. Then see how battery life is and possibly run iCleaner to see if I have any battery drain.

please post how you get on with Wine as it isn't working for me!
