I have a Samsung Captivate (Galaxy S variant for AT&T).

I really like it, but some of the bugs are annoying the crap out of me.

Out of nowhere, sometimes my messages inbox clears itself :)confused:).

Then, at other times, I'll get a text from Person A, and it'll say it's from Person B. When I respond, it goes to Person B.

But for everything else, it's a great phone. Yes, I have rooted it, and it's actually been doing this since day 1. I'm running Cognition Froyo build.

Are you an XDA'ian or?? :p

Haha i read those forums quite a bit ;)

Not heard of the inbox thing before. I have heard of messages being sent to wrong users before though.

I've got this right now while I'm waiting for my iPhone 4 to come back from repair...

Please feel sorry for me.

hows that working out for you? I'm up for my AT&T upgrade in the middle of May. I'll have to weigh the pros and cons of the HTC Inspire and the forthcoming iPhone. I went to the AT&T store to play with the Inspire, and I got to be honest, it is slick. Plus it has the huge screen I've been wanting on a phone. Web browsing was awesome.

I really like it. Had the 3GS before this, and my initial impressions are that this is the better phone (and I loved the iPhone). It's a steal at $100.

Loving it so far. The screen isn't as good an the iPhone 4 with it being a PenTile Display but it's still great compared to other phones and the size is a great trade off. You simply can't beat the navigation and voice recognition features of Android. You can actually set it to speak incoming text to you automatically.

So I had a spare iP4 32gb unlocked available and I sold it. Everyone was low-balling me with offer for $550, but then someone offered me $550 and a brand new htc hd7. I did my research and saw that the going rate for an unlocked one with pre-loaded apps through jailbreak, which is fairly easy with 3MktPlace, was around $300. So I thought what the hell I'm impatient and no one is going to locally buy my iP4 at $850 even if it is unlocked lol. I didn't believe his "mint" condition at first, but it was pretty much brand new. Took me about 10 minutes to install and unlock the phone for my network. Then I found an old t-mobile sim I had and made a micro sim adapter out of it. Crossed my fingers and it worked flawlessly. I really like the screen size and the freshness of a new OS interface. Everything synced fine for the most part. Ideally I want to still use my ip4 and broadcast a hotspot with mywi so my hd7 even has data when I'm out and about. I don't know why, but the hd7 is not finding my mywi network when every other device in my house is finding it. If anyone can help I may just keep this as my spare phone so I have something when I resell my iP4 before the refresh occurs. Sorry for the long story, but it was an eventful day to say the least :)

Post your non iPhone cell phone

There was a nice thread that died a couple of months ago.

Let's continue it!

What non-iOS phones is everyone using?

How do you like the Atrix?

Along with the HTC Inspire, it is the only AT&T phone out there that intrigues me.

Wish Palm/HP had better hardware...their WebOS is pretty sharp.

Still on the Nexus One. Rooted and running CM7
I was tempted by the sensation ( but decided against it because of the locked bootloader)

Will be looking towards the Hercules or Nexus 3 when they make their respective debuts.

I love how the poster above me writes "still on the nexus one". LOL, you have no idea. I'm still on brutus. Got to love it, it's been through the wash, in a swimming pool, white water rafting, through two car crashes, out my fourth story window. In the toilet? Basically, it's been owned, and one new battery later, it's still working, could your new fangled stuff do that??!?!?

Atrix is pretty OK - fast with good battery life and great audio quality. WebTop and HD Dock are good options to have. Waiting for Gingerbread when we will have a greatly improved Blur from what I have heard.

Yeah HP/Palm should have a dual core 4.3 inch WebOS phone out like right now. That'd be pretty sweet. But the Pre2 is OK as it is as a work phone, not too shabby.

Sony Ericsson made some great phones...I had the T616 and it lasted me awhile (eventually the charging port wore out)...

G2x :D

had to leave my bbm contacts behind :(

but........

love it so far plus CM7 on this phone is awesome :D

you can check out my homescreen in the android homescreen thread.

Got tired of the nokia 6300 the company provided, using my good old Samsung SGH x820 for work now. I forgot how great it was!
