I HATE snakes! I've been known to scream like a 5 year-old girl around snakes. I had one come up through the floor in the trailer I lived in during college, and I'm sure people 15 miles away heard me. YUCK!!! I have touched them at times, but nope nope nope... One comes for me, I'm gone. I don't have a big thing against spiders, which some people find funny for some reason. I've eaten rattlesnake, and, well, it really honestly does taste like chicken! (We ARE in the Matrix!!!)
I have video, somewhere, of my mountain bike being attacked by a snapping turtle. He was determined to 'give it to me', and scare me away. I guess, in the end, it did work. It was egg laying season, and they were out in force that day.
It is the tail of some lizard at a special exhibit at the Shed Aquarium in Chicago in 2007. I don't remember what species.
